Happy Valley horse racing tips

Race 1. (20:40) Aster Handicap (1650m)

#3 – Keen Unity

Keen Unity is only a one-time winner from 21 starts, but we’re picking him to cause an upset.

The five-year-old son of Belardo ran third at Happy Valley two back before finishing fifth last start, so we’re happy to back him.

Look for odds around $12.00 on race night.

Race 2. (21:10) Bellflower Handicap (1650m)

#4 – Dragon Star

Dragon Star is getting close to a win after finishing second at Happy Valley last time out.

The four-year-old son of Pride of Dubai owns two wins and six placings from 15 starts at the track, so that’s a nice record.

Getting an inside barrier with Karis Teetan riding adds to our confidence.

Race 3. (21:40) Camellia Handicap (1800m)

#2 – Satirical Glory

Looking for consecutive wins is Satirical Glory, who scored by 1.5 lengths.

The five-year-old son of So You Think kicked away nicely for a solid victory, and this field isn’t too much harder.

Barrier 11 hurts, but Zac Purton is entrusted with the ride.

Race 4. (22:10) Dianthus Handicap (1200m)

#2 – Amazing Ace

Amazing Ace hasn’t won since arriving in Hong Kong from Australia, but his latest run was a big improvement.

The four-year-old son of I Am Invincible paid $25.00 when placing, and punters could get shorter odds here.

Getting weight off his back could be enough to see him go close.

Race 5. (22:40) The EWO Challenge Trophy (1650m)

#3 – Moments in Time

Form is with Moments in Time, who owns six wins and four placings from 17 starts.

The four-year-old son of Lookin at Lucy won consecutive races earlier this preparation before finishing fourth at Sha Tin.

Getting back to Happy Valley should see his winning form return.

Race 6. (23:10) Heather Handicap (1000m)

#11 – Happy Horse

Happy Horse could make punters happy with a win on Wednesday night, and he’s good enough to score.

The five-year-old son of Zoustar won at Happy Valley two back before placing fresh up behind Camino.

Getting in with 55kg on his back makes him tough to beat.

Race 7. (23:45) Thistle Handicap (1200m)

#9 – Super Joy N Fun

The three-year-old son of What’s the Story won his first two career starts before running second and fourth this prep.

He hasn’t been too far away from the prize in both starts, and getting back to Happy Valley helps his chances.

Jerry Chau takes 1kg off his back to help.

Race 8. (00:15) Violet Handicap (1000m)

#4 – Fast Serve

Fast Serve started his career with consecutive wins at Happy Valley, so that form bodes well.

He then finished third fresh up as a $6.10 chance, but with that run under his belt, he should be right in the mix.

Barrier 10 isn’t ideal over this distance, but he has enough early speed to recover.

Race 9. (00:50) Chamomile Handicap (1650m)

#1 – Red Hare King

The Tony Cruz-trained four-year-old owns three wins and nine placings from 19 starts, so he’s never too far away.

He ran second behind Romantic Laos last time out, and that should be a good form guide at this level.

Hugh Bowman rides, and having his experience should take him close.
