Randwick-Kensington racing tips

Race 1. (12:50) James Squire Maiden (1150m)

#7 – I Found You @ $1.75

I Found You has been found in the betting after opening at $1.90, which is a good sign.

The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained filly is bred to be quick, and they often start well for the China Horse Club ownership group.

Her trial win at Randwick was full of class, so we’re happy with the odds

Race 2. (13:25) Tab Maiden (1150m)

#6 – Everybody Rise @ $3.40

Everybody Rise ran third on debut at Rosehill before being spelled, which is a tidy form guide.

The two-year-old colt by Snitzel has been given four trials since, including a win at Randwick by 1.5 lengths last time out.

Having James McDonald riding helps, and we expect his odds to firm considerably on race day. He could start around $2.30.

Race 3. (14:00) Hyland Race Colours BM78 (2400m)

#1 – Father’s Day @ $2.90

Money has come for Father’s Day, who almost got back to winning form at Randwick last time out.

The second placing behind Golden Path was a good effort in defeat, and he’s only going to improve with racing under his belt.

Carrying the big weight won’t make it easy, but he has the class edge over this field, and that’s tough to look past.

Race 4. (14:35) Toyota Forklifts Maiden (1400m)

#12 – Jawharat Dubai @ $3.20

Form is with Jawharat Dubai, who is getting close to an overdue win after posting five consecutive placings.

The Annabel Neasham stable is firing on all cylinders, and the three-year-old filly comes off placings at Randwick and Newcastle.

Getting in with 55kg and McDonald riding is a big bonus, so take the odds before they shorten.

Race 5. (15:10) Triple Time @ Darley BM64 (1000m)

#3 – Hi Dubai @ $5.50

Hi Dubai deserved to win a race last preparation when placing in three consecutive runs.

The four-year-old mare by Highland Reel owns a win and three placings from five starts, and her trial form has been solid since.

Getting 3kg off her back helps her cause, and punters get each-way odds to snap up.

Race 6. (15:45) Headwater @ Vinery Stud BM72 (1400m)

#1 – Ningaloo Star @ $6.00

Ningaloo Star looked good winning two back at Randwick in heavy conditions, and she should get conditions to suit.

The four-year-old daughter of Deep Field didn’t fire at Rosehill last time out, but being a past winner at Randwick-Kensington helps.

She also gets 3kg off her back, and the odds are well worth snapping up.

Race 7. (16:20) Robrick Lodge BM72 (1400m)

#9 – Pure Alpha @ $2.60

Pure Alpha won well two back at Randwick before opening his account with a second placing at Warwick Farm.

The three-year-old son of Androssan wasn’t far behind Able Willie, and there is only improvemen to come.

It’s another good ride for McDonald, who could have a successful day.
