Geelong racing tips

Race 2. (12:00) C&M Build Group Maiden (1430m)

#13 – Tycoonette @ $1.85

Tycoonette ran third on debut at Sandown before spelling, which is a solid effort.

The three-year-old filly by Written Tycoon comes off some solid jumpout runs, and the betting speaks volumes.

She should be right in the mix at short odds.

Race 3. (12:40) Steamatic Maiden (1230m)

#1 – Bracarde @ $2.45

Bracarde comes off consecutive second placings and that form is tough to overlook.

The three-year-old gelding by Brazen Beau ran second at Werribee and Mornington, so handling Geelong won’t be any harder.

Money is likely to come for him on race day.

Race 6. (14:40) Sports Underwriting Australia BM64 (2447m)

#2 – Wuddzz @ $7.00

Wuddzz has turned his form around with consecutive placings, and he should be tough to beat again.

The six-year-old son of Complacent owns two placings from three starts at Geelong, so he runs some of his best races here.

Punters get value each-way odds to snap up.

Race 7. (15:20) The Jai Roderick Memorial BM64 (1741m)

#4 – Maxxi Bon @ $3.90

Maxxi Bon is never too far away from the mark with two placings this preparation, so we’re happy to back him again.

The four-year-old is a two-time winner from 16 starts, and getting the inside draw could turn things in his favour.

His odds are shortening, so take the price available.

Scone racing tips

Race 1. (11:50) Emirates Park BM58 (1700m)

#3 – Image of the Sun @ $2.80

Image of the Sun hasn’t been too far away in two runs this preparation, so we’re backing her again.

The three-year-old filly by The Autumn Sun won well at Muswellbrook last preparation, and it won’t take her long to win again.

Include her in horse racing multis.

Race 3. (13:10) Vinery Stallions Maiden (1200m)

#6 – Torie’s Rose @ $5.50

Torie’s Rose owns two placings this preparation, and punters get value odds for the improving type.

The three-year-old filly ran third at Gosford and Hawkesbury, and her most recent placing at Hawkesbury is a good guide.

Her odds opened at $6.50, so she has been well-backed to win.

Race 5. (14:30) Kia Ora Stallions Maiden (1600m)

#13 – Sweet Proposal @ $2.25

Sweet Proposal is threatening to win a race, and it doesn’t get much easier than this.

The Annabel Neasham-trained filly owns five placings from eight starts, and this is a light maiden field for her.

Her odds are likely to firm on race day.

Race 6. (15:10) Wild Ruler at Newgate C3 (1100m)

#11 – Joiselle @ $3.50

Joiselle is unbeaten after two runs last preparation, including wins at Dubbo.

The three-year-old filly by Snitzel won by a narrow margin last time out before winning a trial at Scone in fine style.

Punters get better odds than expected, so include her in selections.
