2 Enna’s Dream (Bet Now: $2.35) looks to have returned off a break very nicely and should prove hard to beat here. She was off a break when racing over 1200m two weeks ago here, getting back off the speed but worked home with real purpose late in the piece behind Bossy Nic, running a narrow second. Fitter and up to 1400m again, she rates highly.

1 Miss Roumbini (Bet Now: $2.70) is flying for Price/Kent and commands respect off wins, the latest being here a fortnight back where she got a 12/10 from Brown, saved ground and was too good in a strong win. Creeping up in the relative weights but hard to knock how she’s racing.
Long Shot
7 Untouchable Legend (Bet Now: $21.00) is racing like she will appreciate a rise to 1400m. Team Hawkes trained filly that ran two weeks back in the Bossy Nic race over 1200m here. She got a fair way out of her ground and while she was never a winning threat, she did make ground and was good in defeat. Dangerous if she can settle closer.

Leaning towards 4 Sandpaper (Bet Now: $16.00) but not really a race I want to get involved in. James Cummings trained gelding that ran over 1200m here two weeks ago where he wasn’t 100% happy on the shifty ground so be forgiving of his effort behind Baraqiel. I think if this track can dry out, he maps perfect and his best is more than good enough.

7 El Rocko (Bet Now: $7.50) will want this track to remain to have give in it given he swims. He got conditions to suit at Ballarat last time, got a dream run in transit before angling wider and he let down with purpose to win and win well. Maps perfect, has run well at Caulfield before and strikes a winnable race.
Long Shot
5 Kingswood (Bet Now: $17.00) is a very interesting runner. Former Irish galloper that makes his Australian debut for Maddie Raymond. His best form is over slightly further than this but his trial work to get ready has been more than encouraging and this stable can get these imports ready fresh so watch the market.

5 Turbinado (Bet Now: $8.50) looks a short course type for James Cummings that resumes and I dare say will have eyes on that Stakes race at Morphettville, similar to stablemate Exploring last year. This girl had a two run Autumn prep, winning on debut over 900m at Newcastle before a down the track effort at Warwick Farm. Jumpout work has been strong and this isn’t a deep race.

1 Husk (Bet Now: $9.00) commands respect for Team Hawkes. She has done little wrong in her short career to date, her latest run coming over 1000m here a fortnight back when a solid third to First Settler when just off the speed and tried hard, but couldn’t produce the necessary finale. 1100m is the query but hard fit and in form, she should be around the mark.

9 Butternut Princess (Bet Now: $21.00) looks an improving type for Moody/Coleman and can threaten. She debuted behind First Settler two weeks back here. Market took a set against her at odds but she didn’t disgrace herself at all in defeat I thought. Better for the run, she had trialled well leading in and can take this out.

3 Rezone (Bet Now: $3.30) is the bet for me. Price/Kent trained stayer that stargazed when beaten a lip at Geelong two back. He then went to Flemington three weeks ago when ridden cold and he finished off his race with real purpose in a good effort behind Aztec State. He’ll have no issue with the trip and with a similar cold ride, he takes beating I say.

7 Boga Legend (Bet Now: $5.00) has to be given another look for Mitch Freedman. He ran three weeks back behind Aztec State at Flemington where he was off the speed and yes, he did cop a check, but he had his chance and was just fair late in the piece. Off the efforts prior, he can take this out for sure.
Long Shot
6 Pure Grunt (Bet Now: $10.00) has been progressive in two career outings for Team Keys. He got back and was good late on debut at Bendigo before going to Pakenham Synthetic when ridden with more intent and in a driving go, he was too good. Racing as if 2000m will be ideal and this isn’t a strong race so for mine, he commands respect.

6 Unanimous (Bet Now: $14.00) looks ready to win for Ciaron Maher. He has been racing well without winning this prep, his latest run coming at Rosehill two weeks ago behind Amberite in a solid performance. He is a winner at Caulfield previously and maps to get a lovely run in transit. Happy to be in his corner.

7 Concorde (Bet Now: $9.50) looks like a nice import who will win races down under, which could easily start here. He made his Australian debut a few weeks ago over the mile where he got back off the speed and while he was never threatening, he found the line and was quite good in defeat behind Hard To Cross. Might want one more and 2400m+ but off the first up run, he takes beating.

5 Convener (Bet Now: $23.00) is an improver and his best is more than good enough. Market binned him when resuming a few weeks back at Sandown over the mile and ran accordingly, getting off the speed and failed to make up any headway behind Hard To Cross. His best is certainly capable. Just needs to show it again.

14 Frumos (Bet Now: $20.00) is worth a throw at the stumps each way for me. Team Hayes trained mare that ran three weeks ago over 1400m at Flemington where she got back to last in the run, was forced widest on the turn and I thought the ride from Dee was quiet, only getting really warm late in the piece, and was good through the line. She has the talent and I think is just gradually getting towards peak fitness.

First run for the stable came behind Highlights a fortnight back where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was really strong in his return. Might want one more and a rise in trip but he has a touch of class.

6 Miracle Spin (Bet Now: $19.00) has been strong in recent runs at the mile and is racing like he will appreciate a rise to 1700m. Latest run was several weeks ago at Randwick where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was pretty good in defeat behind Ruby Flyer. Like him up to 1700m and hard to beat if he can settle closer.

10 Marble Nine (Bet Now: $8.00) is three weeks between runs for Team Corstens since racing down the straight at Flemington when near the speed throughout and seemingly looked to be going well but didn’t find much when asked and just whacked to the line late behind The Black Cloud. Off prior efforts, he can take this out.

9 Veecee (Bet Now: $17.00) is a very interesting runner. Talented animal for Ciaron Maher that resumes, having not raced since Feb 3 when down the track at Rosehill behind stablemate Wallenda. Given a good break, has had a few trials to get ready and he is a short course specialist so keen to see how he goes against these.

16 Unconquerable (Bet Now: $34.00) looks suited back to 1100m. Her opening two career runs had come at 1100m and she was quite good each time. She stepped up to 1200m here two weeks ago and tried hard but just found the trip a bridge too far behind Bossy Nic. Back to 1100m, off prior efforts, she is going well enough to threaten.

5 Mrs Chrissie (Bet Now: $5.50) is hard fit and in form for Ciaron Maher. She ran over this track/distance two weeks ago when on speed and tried her guts out but just couldn’t quite finish it off when second to the enigma that is Kin. Hard fit, in form, lands on speed and with her racing style, she’ll be hard to get past.

1 Ashford Street (Bet Now: $5.50) would love rain to hit this track but even allowing for that, I think he’s racing well enough to be dangerous at odds. He ran three weeks back down the straight at Flemington and didn’t disgrace himself at all in a decent effort behind Crosshaven, who ran well again last Saturday. He is a knockout hope for sure.

6 Little Miss Kubi (Bet Now: $26.00) can bounce back here at odds. She ran down the straight at Flemington a few weeks back where she was quite plain late when asked for the effort, beating just one runner home behind Veloce Carro. Forgiving her for one bad run, she can threaten at a likely decent price.

6 Chorlton Lane (Bet Now: $3.90) has to be given another chance. He was a tick under two months between runs when racing two weeks ago at this track/distance where he just lacked the fitness and wasn’t 100% happy on the shifty track I thought so I am going to be very forgiving of the run behind Rheinberg. Has that run under the belt and has credits in the bank to be given another chance.

8 St Lawrence (Bet Now: $4.60) is finding it hard to win but that said, he’s racing really well at the moment. He was given a lovely ride near the speed at Caulfield last time and was there to win but couldn’t quite get there when second to Rheinberg. Racing well, nearing a win and can certainly take this out.

12 Regardsmaree (Bet Now: $20.00) is getting on in years for Nick Ryan but I do feel is racing well enough to prove to be a knockout hope. He ran midfield behind Rheinberg two weeks back where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never threatening, he found the line and was quite good in defeat. Dangerous if he can settle closer.
