Coffs Harbour racing tips
—
Race 2. (12:50) Green By Nature BM58 (1012m)
#2 – Cool Fizz @ $3.50
Cool Fizz comes off a win at Taree, and she’s good enough to figure in the finish.
The four-year-old mare by Deep Field owns a win and a placing from three starts at Coffs Harbour, which is ideal form.
Getting 3kg off her back makes her tough to beat.
Race 3. (13:25) Emerald Gates & Fencing Maiden (1012m)
#12 – Monte Cruise @ $2.25
Monte Cruise didn’t fire on debut at Hawkesbury, but she looked much better when winning a recent trial.
The three-year-old daughter of Deep Field gets 2kg off his back, and that’s why there has been plenty of money coming for her.
Take the $2.25 before she shortens any further.
Race 5. (14:40) Woolgoola Seahorses C1 (2015m)
#6 – Oakfield Hawk @ $3.30
Oakfield Hawk scored an overdue win at Taree in heavy conditions, and he’s good enough to win again.
The three-year-old son of Dundeel had to fight for the win, but he showed a good turn-of-foot to reel them in late.
Any moisture in the surface adds to his appeal, and he only needs a touch of luck from the wide barrier.
Race 7. (15:50) Woolgoolga Diggers Cup BM82 (1315m)
#3 – Tectonic Plate @ $2.20
Tectonic Plate is already a three-time winner this preparation, and there’s no reason why she can’t win again.
The four-year-old mare by Supido is a five-time winner overall, and we’re not worried by the drifting odds after opening at $2.10.
She’s the best runner in the field, so include her.
Ballarat racing tips
—
Race 1. (13:00) Whitford Liquid Waste Maiden (1000m)
#11 – Power of Three @ $2.80
We’re prepared to give Power of Three another chance after two moderate runs last preparation.
The two-year-old filly by Yes Yes Yes comes off a trial win at Stawell by seven lengths, which is why she’s being heavily backed.
Getting the inside draw with 55kg on her back is ideal.
Race 3. (14:00) Global Turf Maiden (1200m)
#10 – Rosary @ $2.80
Rosary comes off two second placings from two starts, both coming at Wangaratta.
The four-year-old mare by Deep Field was no match for Dalhart last time out, but race fitness should help her cause.
We’re not surprised by the shortening odds.
Race 5. (15:00) Porter Plant BM64 (1500m)
#3 – Docinthe @ $4.40
Docinthe is a two-time winner from his last six starts, including a win at Echuca two starts back.
The four-year-old son of Cable Bay didn’t start well at Ballarat last start, which cost him any chance of winning.
After opening at $5.00, his odds have firmed considerably.
Race 7. (16:00) Sportsbet Feed BM58 (1200m)
#2 – Miss Magnifico @ $11.00
Miss Magnifico owns two wins and three placings from seven starts, and she loves running at the track.
The four-year-old mare has finished out of the money only once from five attempts at Ballarat, so she has every chance to win.
Getting 3kg off her back adds to her appeal.
