3 Exceed The Planet (Bet Now: $5.50) is worth an each way ticket for mine. Susan Olive trained juvenile that debuted over 1200m here two weeks ago where he got back in a fast run race but was able to save ground nearer the inside and kept finding the line in a very strong debut behind Street Band, finishing fourth. Better for the run under the belt and rising to 1400m, good upside, he’ll do me each way.
Danger
1 Street Band (Bet Now: $2.40) has done little wrong in two runs this time in, winning both, and has to be given serious respect. He just got the win a fortnight back over 1200m here, getting the suck run in behind before angling clear and in a driving finish, he was too good, just. Tricky gate, but gets the claim and I think with a more patient steer, 1400m is fine.
Long Shot
5 Noahquintilly (Bet Now: $9.00) has to be given another chance. David Harrison trained filly that resumed in the Street Band race from two weeks back where she was wide no cover for the trip and that hard run just told late in the piece behind the Trevor Andrews juvenile. Should get a better run in transit this time around and can run an improved race at odds.
Race 2. (13:59) Renew WAROA Membership Handicap (66+) 1000m

2 Devine Belief (Bet Now: $2.20) to resume a winner for me. David Harrison trained mare that is first up, having not raced since Jan 6 at Ascot when just off the speed nearer the inside and she kept finding but couldn’t quite get there when third to Harmika. Resumes without a trial but is a bomb fresh horse and does have a liking for Belmont. Likeable.
Danger
5 Rupert’s Empire (Bet Now: $11.00) comes here with fresh legs for Simon Miller, having not raced since April 20 at Ascot when four wide throughout and just couldn’t get involved when down the track behind The Boss Lady. He is a horse who does go very well on the fresh side and he likes Belmont. Hard to beat with luck from the draw.
Long Shot
7 Crippalenko (Bet Now: $8.50) is one I can entertain for wider exotics. He ran two weeks back at this track/distance when just off the speed and presented to win but couldn’t quite finish the job when fourth to Final Siren, beaten three lengths. Not sure I could back him to win but he can pinch a first four spot.
Race 3. (14:34) WA Spirit Of Racing Awards Handicap (78+) 1650m

Back Me
2 Pompey (Bet Now: $5.00) looks ready to win for Team Williams. He ran over 1400m here two weeks ago when on speed throughout under Pike and he tried his guts out but just didn’t have the change up speed to put them away late and had to settle for a narrow second to Demolish. Like him up to the mile, and I do think with a more patient steer, he’ll be far more effective.
Danger
5 Oly’s Choice (Bet Now: $2.35) is humming for Team Pearce and rates quite highly here. Three weeks between runs since a strong track/distance win, where he got into a tricky spot under Pike, sitting wide, but class came to the fore and he was much too good. Not sure what upside he has got left but he only has to hold his form to be around the mark.
Long Shot
6 Rusty Dreams (Bet Now: $4.60) should appreciate a rise in trip for Michael Lane. This mare resumed two weeks back over 1200m here. She got off the speed and was chasing from a fair way out. She stuck on and was solid enough in defeat but just looked in need of the run behind Rope Them In. Fitter and up in trip, she has runs on the board to command respect.
Race 4. (15:10) Tabtouch Handicap (0MWLY) 1300m

6 Climb On Top (Bet Now: $8.00) to bounce back. Team Pearce trained gelding that resumed two weeks ago over 1200m here where he got a nice run just off the speed and presented to win at the top of the straight but couldn’t quite finish the job and tired late to finish down the track behind Valdarena. Unbeaten second up and I reckon if the track is firmer, he can bounce back hard.
Danger
9 El Patron (Bet Now: $11.00) doesn’t win out of turn but he is an absolute model of consistency for Simon Miller that should be around the mark. That was the case at this track/distance just over three weeks ago and tried hard but had to settle for a third to Flash Paddy. He’ll press forward and run his usual honest race.
Long Shot
12 Platinum Class (Bet Now: $15.00) looks suited back to 1300m. She ran over 1400m here last Wednesday, her first run in a few weeks, and she tried hard but just didn’t have the finale to go with them late in the piece Royal Elite. Like her back to 1300m and fitter, she’s dangerous and can threaten.
Race 5. (15:50) Free Entry To Belmont Handicap (1MW) 1650m

9 Reliable Queen (Bet Now: $10.00) has come back in beast mode since joining Meryl Hayley and I think she’s the way to go. She has won two of her three runs this time in, with a second in between. The last start win came over 1400m here where she gave them a start and a beating, launching late from near last to get up and record a big win. Harder here, but like her up in trip and confident she measures up.
Danger
4 Antique Miss (Bet Now: $2.15) is knocking on the door to win for Michael Grantham. This mare has placed her past two, both over 1400m here. Latest run was three weeks ago where she got back and found the line with purpose when second to My Jimmy. Like her up to the mile and this isn’t a deep race.
Long Shot
5 Beat The Bro (Bet Now: $11.00) is one I can entertain for wider exotics. He ran three weeks back at this track/distance when attempting to lead throughout and he gave a decent enough sight but couldn’t quite see it through when beaten a few lengths by Celebrity Witness. I think he’ll be a better prospect if ridden with a sit so hopefully that eventuates.
Race 6. (16:39) Drummond Golf Handicap 1200m

1 Bondi Bubbles (Bet Now: $12.00) is a ripper for David Harrison and I think he can resume with a win and continue the picket fence. He hasn’t raced since a strong effort from on speed to take out the 3YO Magic Millions at Pinjarra, which followed a sequence of wins at Esperance. Interesting he resumes without a trial but first up at 1200m signals intent.
Danger
9 Objectify (Bet Now: $3.90) has done little wrong in a three start career for Dan Morton and rates highly. She resumed over this track/distance at the midweeks where she got back off the speed but presented wider with clear air and let down with purpose to win and win well. Good test here, but confident she measures up.
Long Shot
7 Wicked Venom (Bet Now: $21.00) should appreciate a rise to 1200m. He ran over 1000m here two weeks back where he got a fair way out of his ground and did make up some ground but was never really threatening behind Final Siren. He is racing like a rise to 1200m will suit and his best is certainly good enough.
Race 7. (17:15) Petaluma Handicap (1MW) 1200m

11 Lifeisbutadream (Bet Now: $6.50) is the way I am leaning but not really a race I want to get involved in. Jayson Hines trained filly that has won her past two, breaking the maiden status with ease two back at Northam before racing here last Wednesday where she got into a dream spot behind the speed before angling clear and knuckled down nicely late to score. Good test here, but confident she measures up and Pike sticks.
Danger
6 Mocha Dream (Bet Now: $13.00) is hit and miss at times but his best is more than good enough to be competitive here. Gave them a start and a beating to win fresh at Geraldton before going to this track/distance last Wednesday where he got back to near last in the run and found the line strongly late. Hard to beat if he can settle closer.
Long Shot
5 Estimator (Bet Now: $9.50) has found winning form and is a two time winner at the track. He comes here off the back of a win at Bunbury where he produced sustained speed from the front and gave nothing else a look in to win quite impressively. Good racing style, in form, he’s in with a shout.

Back Me
I think the track rating is crucial to 1 Western Empire (Bet Now: $1.55) because if the track is good, I think he can bounce back into the winners list. On face value, he was very poor in the Hyperion two weeks ago but I think just put it down to the soft track and him not being as dynamic. He is a far better horse on firmer footing so hopefully that can eventuate here and he can bounce back to his brilliant best.
Danger
2 Marocchino (Bet Now: $5.50) is suited up to 2000m and with his racing style, he’ll take running down. He attempted to lead throughout in the Hyperion and he gave a strong kick but couldn’t quite see it through, run down late by Magnificent Andy. Hard fit now and up to 2000m, he’ll lead and prove hard to get past.
Long Shot
7 Be Optimistic (Bet Now: $11.00) should appreciate a rise to 2000m for Luke Fernie. This mare resumed several weeks back over the mile at Morphettville where she got a fair way back in the run and did make up ground in a good effort behind quality mare En Francais. Might need another run but she has class, quality and will be strong late.

5 Colossal (Bet Now: $15.00) should love getting to 1400m and he does have runs on the board vs some of these. He resumed over 1000m two weeks ago here where he just looked in need of the run and although he did make up some headway, he was never really threatening behind Final Siren. Better for the run under the belt, up in trip, good upside, rates highly for me.
Danger
8 Dance Boss (Bet Now: $5.50) has done little wrong this time in for Simon Miller and has to be respected. He won a fortnight back over 1200m here, getting a 12/10 ride from Brad Parnham from the wide gate and in a driving finish, he got the job done, with no doubt the ride being the difference. Harder here but hard to knock the way he’s racing.
Long Shot
14 Special View (Bet Now: $81.00) is five weeks between runs for Brian Kersley since racing over 1400m at Ascot when attempting to lead throughout and he did give a sight but couldn’t quite see it through behind Zephyra. Fresh legs and back a fair bit in overall depth, his racing style will give himself every chance.
