The Frankie Lor-trained gelding opened his account at Sha Tin before going awfully close last start when a nose behind Thunder Blink.
A repeat of that run would be good enough to win.
Race 2. (18:30) Port Shelter Handicap (1200m)
#3 – Tactical Command
Tactical Command is struggling to win races, but the four-year-old gelding has been going close.
The son of Charm Spirit finished second two back before placing last time out, so he’s getting ready to win.
We’re happy to stick with him off the inside draw.
Race 3. (19:00) Tiu Chung Chau Handicap (1600m)
#4 – Smart Beauty
Smart Beauty got back to winning form last time out with a 1.8 length victory at Sha Tin.
We’re happy to back him again, especially with Zac Purton retaining the ride, and he often makes the difference.
Barrier 14 makes it tough, but he has time to find cover over the mile.
Race 4. (19:30) Kau Sai Chau Handicap (1200m)
#1 – Glory Elite
Glory Elite capped off solid form with a win at Sha Tin, and we fancy his chances of winning again.
The three-year-old son of Russian Revolution won by three lengths in emphatic style, so it was an impressive outing.
Barrier two is ideal, and we expect him to run well.
Race 5. (20:00) Kau Sai Chau Handicap (1200m)
#1 – Awesome Treasure
Awesome Treasure is only a two-time winner from 28 starts, but his best form has come recently.
The six-year-old son of Charm Spirit won at Sha Tin two back, and he also has four second placings this prep.
Getting 3kg off his back adds to his appeal.
Race 6. (20:30) Clear Water Bay Handicap (1200m)
#2 – Call Me Glorious
Call Me Glorious owns two wins from four starts, including a 2.2-length win at Sha Tin last start.
The son of No Nay Never kicked away for an easy victory as a $1.50 chance, and punters shouldn’t expect big odds here.
It’s another good ride for Purton off an inside barrier.
Race 7. (21:05) Kiu Tsui Handicap (1200m)
#2 – Top Scorer
Top Scorer is nearing a win after four placings from six starts, so it’s only a matter of time before he wins.
The three-year-old son of Shooting to Win ran second two back behind Joly Ruler, and a repeat of that is good enough.
Hugh Bowman is riding well this season, so that’s another positive.
Race 8. (21:35) Grass Island Handicap (1200m)
#1 – Victory Moments
Victory Moments owns two wins and three placings from six stars at Sha Tin, so that form is tough to overlook.
The four-year-old gelding comes off a 1.2-length win at Sha Tin, and he adds to Purton’s good book of rides.
Going back-to-back shouldn’t be beyond him.
Race 9. (22:05) Hoi Ha Handicap (1400m)
#4 – Fantastic Fun
Fantastic Fun was unbeaten in two Australian starts, and he could make a winning debut in Hong Kong.
The three-year-old gelding by Justify won at Kembla Grange on debut before winning at Warwick Farm by 2.9 lengths.
The form reads well, so include him at each-way odds.
Race 10. (22:40) Mirs Bay Handicap (1400m)
#8 – Forerunner
Forerunner isn’t always the most consistent type going around, but he comes off a second placing at Sha Tin.
The five-year-old son of Almanzor ran at $9.00 last time out, and we expect similar odds this time around.
Barrier two is ideal, so we’re happy to back him.

#4 – Karma
Karma turned his form around when winning by 1.2 lengths last time out, and he loves running at Sha Tin.
