Wagga racing tips

Race 1. (12:25) H. Francis & Co Stock Maiden (1400m)

#3 – Veloce Rosa @ $4.20

Veloce Rosa didn’t fire at Gosford last time out but her form prior was good enough.

The three-year-old filly by Sooboog ran third at Canterbury in a small field, following a second placing at Wagga.

That’s good enough form to consider for this race, so put her on top.

Race 2. (13:05) Tooheys Maiden (1600m)

#1 – Divine Conclusion @ $3.80

Divine Conclusion is getting close to breaking through after posting two second placings.

The three-year-old son of Divine Prophet ran second at Wagga on debut, so having that course experience helps.

His odds have drifted after opening at $3.30, but that’s better value for punters.

Race 5. (14:50) Lambpro BM66 (2000m)

#5 – Adolphus @ $2.25

Adolphus comes off consecutive wins at Wagga and Moruya, so he’s the clear runner to beat.

The three-year-old son of Rubick won by two lengths as a $1.28 chance last time out, so punters get much better odds this time in.

Take the $2.15 odds before they firm on race day.

Race 7. (16:05) Andersens Flooring BM58 (1200m)

#1 – I’m Not Leaving @ $7.50

I’m Not Leaving runs well enough fresh up to consider at the each-way odds.

The three-year-old son of Trust in a Gust owns three wins and four placings overall, and getting 1.5kg off his back helps his cause.

We’re happy with the each-way odds available.

Pakenham racing tips

Race 1. (12:30) Battery Zone Maiden (1400m)

#9 – Special Dancer @ $3.00

Special Dancer ran well enough for fourth fresh up at Moe, and the blinkers go on for this race.

The three-year-old filly by Needs Further ran second on debut at Pakenham, and that’s the best form guide for this race.

We expect her odds to firm solidly on race day.

Race 3. (13:30) Sandown Lodge Maiden (1200m)

#3 – Milo @ $2.05

Milo looked good at the trials when winning by four lengths at Pakenham, which is an excellent form guide.

The three-year-old son of Deep Field could make a winning debut, and most of the money has come for him after opening at $2.35.

He draws well, and he should be right in the mix.

Race 4. (14:00) Bridgestone Select Pakenham Maiden (1000m)

#7 – Pocket Size @ $3.70

Pocket Size hasn’t been too far away from the prize throughout his career, and this field is there for the taking.

She ran third on debut before finishing fourth at Caulfield, and that form should take her close at the maiden level.

We expect her odds to shorten throughout the day.

Race 6. (15:00) Jockey Watch BM58 (1200m)

#8 – Unlimited Magic @ $3.60

Unlimited Magic is better than her form suggests, and she is a past winner at the Pakenham facility.

The four-year-old mare by Impending didn’t fire at Cranbourne last time out, but the blinkers could make the difference.

The each-way odds make her worth including.
