20 years of the Steve Hull Memorial Golf Classic

Must read

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – Wednesday marks the 20th anniversary of the Steve Hull Memorial Golf Classic.

Each year golfers and friends of the late Steve Hull gather at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Course in Neshoba County to participate in the annual tournament that was originally started to raise scholarship money for the Hull children.

Now that Trex and Baleigh hull are college graduates – the tournament continues in Steve’s memory to raise funds for charitable causes close to the committee and family.

“First of all, can’t believe we’ve been doing this for 20 years, actually 22 years because we had to skip two years cause of COVID. but great turn out,” say Lindsey Hall, who has been planning the Steve Hull Memorial Golf Classic since its inception. “What is great is we have a mix of the old, we’ve had guys coming all 20 years. This year we had people literally coming from all over the southeast. From Corinth, from Florida, from Birmingham, from Mobile, people that we’ve never seen. The influx of new people from what we’ve seen this year and that’s what’s going to keep this tournament going from we hope another 20 years.”

“Well it was really an unfortunate circumstance on why we started this event, but through all these years, twenty years to be exact, doing this it was really great for us,” says Collins Billy, Jr., the General Manager of the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club.” It’s a good thing that we do. I know it’s a big money maker for scholarships for y’all. I’ve been really proud that we have been able to continue this partnership and hopefully we can keep going in the future.”

The Steve Hull Memorial Golf Classic would like to thank everyone that donated as they are looking forward to coming back in 2025.
