Max Verstappen recorded the fastest time in Austrian Grand Prix practice, despite causing a red flag.
The world champion ground to a halt on the pit-straight mid-way through the 60-minute session, and was wheeled back into the garage as the red flags flew.
However, he was quickly able to rejoin the track, losing minimal time with the team believing a software glitch could have been to blame.
After the field switched to the soft tyres, Verstappen posted a 1:05.685 to jump to the head of the times, usurping Lewis Hamilton who was leading on the hard tyres.
Hamilton did not complete a soft tyre lap and finished fifth fastest.
