What you need to know

It’s a tight leaderboard at the John Deere Classic halfway point, where C.T. Pan and Aaron Rai share a one-shot lead at 14 under par over their closest competitor, Harry Hall, who is 13 under par. Just behind Hall is a group of six players at 12 under par, including amateur Luke Clanton.

Rai is seeking his maiden PGA Tour victory after finishing second at last week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic. Pan has one victory on his resume, the 2019 RBC Heritage. Hall also has yet to win on the PGA Tour, but has one top-five and four top-10s.
