The 2024 LIV Golf season will find its 10th event’s winner soon! Yes, the Saudi-backed league’s tournament that is taking place in Spain is inching closer to its finale. Many in the community would surely be eager to find out who the champion golfer is, just like how Talor Gooch emerged victorious back in the 2023 edition of LIV Golf Andalucia. But the American pro, this time around, seems to have been bested by others, including Anirban Lahiri, Bryson DeChambeau, and the like, all of whom have the insane winner’s cut from the prize pool in their sights.
Just like every event on the PIF-funded circuit, LIV Golf Andalucia will also award its golfers with a cut from the humongous $25 million prize purse. Interestingly, out of the same, $20 million will be set aside for the individual event, with the rest $5 million being awarded to the top three teams at the contest. Now, a total of 54 golfers are currently duking it out at the Valderrama Golf Club for the trophy and the winner’s cut of $4 million with the runner-up getting $2.25 million. On the other hand, the top squad will win $3 million followed by a check of $1.5 million for the team at T2.

Anirban Lahiri in hopes of claiming his first LIV Golf win at LIV Golf Andalucia
The Indian golfer is currently leading the scoreboard after the second day of play in Andalucia. He registered figures of 69 (-2) and 66 (-5) to score a 7-under overall following Round 2’s play. He dished out a total of 11 birdies and four bogeys to have a shot at the title of champion. In the 2024 season, he could only finish T6 two times in Jeddah and Houston.
Even 2022 and 2023 turned out unlucky for the golfer who had placed himself at T2 in the 2022 Boston event. The following year witnessed Lahiri place a T2 at Adelaide and Bedminster and a T3 at Chicago, the latter of which saw his skipper DeChambeau emerge victorious. This time around, the ‘Scientist’ is placed at T6 tied with four other golfers, all the while striving to claim another triumph.
