2024 LIV Golf Andalucia: Round 1 Tee Times and Pairings

Must read

Spain! A place for LIV Golf’s 10th start for the season! Venue: the Spanish golfer Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia’s favorite Real Club, Valderrama. The event is scheduled from July 12 to 14. Golfers are more than ready to tee off with the attractive but usual $25 million purse on the line. The lineup is out too for Friday’s play, so let’s see what it looks like.

LIV Golf Communications, on its official X handle, shared pairings for the first round of the event. The round will begin at 1:43 p.m. ET with the center of attraction ‘shotgun start’.  The Spaniards Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia will take the helm at the first tee pairing and will tee off from the first hole. Both the local heroes would love to come out on top of the podium, and along with them is another attractive player, Richard Bland.

The 51-year-old, with his second successive major win on the PGA Tour Champions, the Senior U.S. Open, was welcomed in style in Andalucia. One would regard this as a marquee pairing.

Another group to watch out for is Group No. 3,  which holds Bryson DeChambeau, the two-time major winner, and 6x major champion Phil Mickelson, alongside Kevin Na. This group will tee off from the third hole.

Moreover, three of the Rahm-captained Legion XIII are paired in the same group with Tyrrell Hatton, Kieran Vincent, and Caleb Surratt. After the team’s win in Nashville, it will be interesting to see how these three will fare this weekend. This will be the second successive event hosted by the Real Club Valderrama. Last year Talor Gooch won, and he will be teeing off with Jason Kokrak, and Graeme McDowell at tee 10.

Biggest attractions to watch out for at LIV Golf Andalucia

We know that the Spanish spirits will favor their home soil grown athletes such as Jon Rahm, and Sergio Garcia being the big names. Jon Rahm led Legion XIII winning three titles this season out of the 9 events. He will aim to clinch his first individual title, which he has not managed since joining LIV Golf last summer.

Moreover, who can forget Crushers GC captain Bryson DeChambeau? His attractive presence and performance at the Nashville event attracted fans and positions alike. The scientist ended the event with a 4-way tie for the third position, along with John Rahm, Joaquin Niemann, and Lee Westwood. They tied for a score of 12 under par 213. This, along with the chance to see many of the world’s best players up close, is what a golf enthusiast would want from a game of golf.

Will Jon Rahm get the much-needed support from home fans and claim his first LIV Golf title? Or will Bryson DeChambeau take back the lost trophy from the last time he played here? Only time will tell.
