That was the case two weeks ago over 1400m on the Parks track, sitting off the speed and found the line strongly but found one better in Brave Star. Like him back up in trip and this doesn’t appear to be an overly deep race.

3 Slane (Bet Now: $3.90) has found winning form and he can certainly go on with it. He is a few weeks between runs since a strong on speed win at Pakenham where he was trucking near the front before taking the front and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and win. Hard to beat against these.

Long Shot

8 Monseagle (Bet Now: $21.00) has become a winning machine for Richards/Moyle. He has won two on the bounce, firstly at Strathalbyn before a dominant display at Gawler when wide no cover but he found under pressure to fend them off and win. Track/distance winner, he commands respect.

2 Grint (Bet Now: $3.90) has a bit on these. Clarken/O’Shea trained galloper that is three weeks between runs since contesting a maiden at this track/distance when off the speed and kept finding the line in a really good effort behind impressive winner Fashion Dog. Looked a moral on Wednesday but was scratched and instead runs here. Clearly the one to beat.

8 Jura Vaudois (Bet Now: $10.00) looks to have returned in decent order. He resumed at his track/distance three weeks ago where he was wide with cover before angling wider into clear air and found the line well enough when fourth to Fashion Dog. Better for the run under the belt, he appeals as a key chance.

Long Shot

16 Quindio (Bet Now: $27.00) is an improving type for David Jolly. She debuted over 1100m at Gawler where she got back to near last in the run and while she was never really a winning threat, she kept finding the line and was far from disgraced in defeat behind Magic Field. Better for the debut run, I wouldn’t be dismissing her.

Alex Rae trained gelding that resumed over the mile at Pakenham where he got back in the run and while he was never really threatening, he found the line and was quite good in defeat behind The Jester’s Son. Fitter and up in trip, thin race, like him a lot.

3 Tippa (Bet Now: $3.50) has been up a little while for Shayne Cahill but he is holding his form superbly and rates as one of the leading contenders. He is on the seven day back up after bolting up last Saturday at Murray Bridge where he gave them a start and a beating, launching late from the back to win with ease. Creeping up in the relative weights but hard to knock the way he’s racing.

8 Bonnie Gangster (Bet Now: $16.00) has come back in really good order and should love the rise to 1800m. She ran a fortnight back over 1550m on the Parks track where she got back to near last in the run and while she was never a winning threat, she did make up ground and was quite good in defeat behind Merchant Boss. If she can settle closer in the run, she’ll take holding out.

2 Merchant Boss (Bet Now: $3.10) was knocking on the door to win but kept finding a couple better. That all changed two weeks ago with a dominant win over 1550m on the Parks track, sitting off the speed before angling into clear air, building the revs and he made an absolute mess of them, winning by over four lengths. His confidence is up, he can go on with it.

11 Belmont Avenue (Bet Now: $7.50) is one of the leading chances for the Bain/Taylor camp. Few weeks between runs when doing work early from the wide gate to land near the speed and he tried his heart out but couldn’t quite finish the job when third to Outta Compton. Hard fit, racing well and strikes a winnable race.

1 Crown Mint (Bet Now: $41.00) can run an improved race at odds for Richards/Moyle. He resumed two weeks back over 1250m on the Parks track where he got back to near last in the run and made up no headway, just finding them a bit too sharp when last behind Sweet Baby Boom. Fitter and up in trip, he can be an improver at a price.

5 Derby Downs (Bet Now: $9.00) is sneaky flying for the Magro/Bush camp and off last run, I think he’ll take beating against these. He was 1200m to 1300m when racing two weeks ago on the Parks track where he got a fair way out of his ground but he flashed late and savaged the line, just missing out on the win. Like him up in trip and off that effort, he’ll take beating.

4 Artillery (Bet Now: $9.50) is heading in the right direction for Michael Hickmott and commands some level of respect. He was a strong maiden winner on the Parks track last time. He was on speed throughout and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and win. Harder here, but think he can measure up.

Long Shot

6 Hard Prince (Bet Now: $10.00) is an improver for Team Jolly. He was a few weeks between runs and back in trip a fortnight back over 1300m on the Parks track and just looked in need of the run but was far from disgraced behind Hot Off. Like him up in trip and if the tempo is genuine, he’ll be strong late.

4 Jaykayann (Bet Now: $3.80) is a Patrick Payne trained mare that looks ready to win. Latest run was at Sandown just over two weeks ago where she ran over 2100m. She got back to near last in the run and did make up headway but was never really threatening behind Sky Horse. Like her up to 2500m and the stable rarely get it wrong when they come over.

1 Lake’s Folly (Bet Now: $6.50) has found winning form and he can certainly go on with it. Michael Hickmott trained galloper that was a dominant winner two weeks ago on the Parks track, sitting just off the speed before angling wider into clear air and his change up speed was impressive, putting them away with relative ease. Only has to run up to last time and he just about wins again.

Long Shot

5 Dixie Whistler (Bet Now: $9.50) is rarely far away at this level and suspect something similar will eventuate here. She ran a fortnight back on the Parks track and kept chipping away, being as game as ever, but found one better in Lake’s Folly, who was dominant late with change up speed. 2500m slog, she’ll be there when the whips are cracking.

4 Fashion Dog (Bet Now: $16.00) has found winning form and is in with a shout for the Francis/Kent camp. The maiden win came three weeks back at Morphettville over 1100m where he gave them a start and a beating, letting down with purpose to win and win well. That was a maiden race, but he was dominant and off that, 1200m should be fine.

1 Ranveer (Bet Now: $4.80) should appreciate a rise to 1200m for Matt Laurie. He ran over 1000m at Sale last time where he got back off the speed and presented to win out wide. He did make ground but just couldn’t quite get there when a close up fifth to Port Albert. Like him up in trip and the depth here is nowhere near as deep.

12 Trantoro (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is capable of bouncing back for Ryan Balfour. This mare was a total forgive two weeks back when wide no cover on speed throughout and that early burn just told late in the piece, finishing down the track behind Morris Minor. If she can get a more economical run in transit, her best is good enough to be dangerous.

Total forgive for mine two weeks ago on the Parks track where he got back to near last in the run and was badly held up when seemingly full of running so forgive and forget the run. If he gets room to move this time around, he’ll take beating.

14 Episodic (Bet Now: $7.00) is three weeks between runs for Clarken/O’Shea since racing over 1400m at Caulfield where she kept chasing from off the speed but couldn’t quite get there when second to in form mare Subliminal. Has come back in career best form and she only has to run up to last start to be around the mark.

Long Shot

3 Picargo (Bet Now: $31.00) has a good record on the course proper and has found positive form so he appeals as a key winning chance. He ran a fortnight back on the Parks track when wide no cover on speed throughout but he kept on and was quite game in defeat when third to Sweet Baby Boom. Tends to save his best for the course proper and off last run, he appeals for mine.

5 Sachem (Bet Now: $3.20) is flying for Clarken/O’Shea and deserves to win. He ran over 1200m a few weeks ago where he got a mile out of his ground but loved the way he finished his race off late in the piece when second to Three Rings. Racing like he will eat up 1100m on the course proper here and if he can settle a pair or two closer, I think good luck beating him.

7 Kong (Bet Now: $51.00) is an improver for Ryan Balfour. He was off a long spell when resuming three weeks back at Morphettville. 600m out, he looked the winner the way he was trucking up behind the speed but being first up, when asked for an effort, the wheels span and he punctured badly late. Might need another run but I am not dismissing him.

Long Shot

4 Sabermetric (Bet Now: $34.00) is three weeks between runs for Richards/Moyle since racing over this track/distance when first up. He was wide no cover on a hot speed and just couldn’t sustain the run, feeling the pinch and finishing down the track behind Sportsbeat. Better ridden with more patience, his best is good enough to take this out.
