Race 1. (11:31) Spry Civil Hcp (C1) 1000m

Back Me

8 Territorian (Bet Now: $6.00) looks a nice type for David Jolly that is on debut. He trialled a couple of weeks ago at Gawler where he led them a merry dance, having a near 10 length lead at some stage but wasn’t really asked for an effort late and ended up winning by just under four lengths. Few unknowns here but he does look a type that will come to hand early and be hard to beat on debut.

Danger

5 Future Command (Bet Now: $46.00) is an Impending colt on debut for Chris Bieg and I think commands respect. He ran second to Territorian in the Gawler trial and didn’t move too bad in his own right I thought. Was held on the line but did make up ground without really being extended. Watch the market and see what it does.

Long Shot

3 Bay Of Portland (Bet Now: $17.00) is a son of Kobayashi that debuts for Gary Boyce. This gelding contested a different trial on the same morning at Gawler and ran in a quicker trial, running a narrow third, and I thought moved pretty well to my eye in a solid piece of work. Maps well, in nicely after the claim…leading contender.

Race 2. (12:02) Smedley Tyre Service Mdn Plate 1400m

Back Me

14 The Last Flash (Bet Now: $10.00) looks like he will win races for Team Jaensch. Formerly in QLD with O’Dea/Hoysted, he had his first run for the new stable over 1200m here where he back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he finished off his race nicely in a strong return behind Endless Faith. Fitter and up in trip, he rates highly.

Danger

5 Kalbarri (Bet Now: $6.50) looks to be nearing a maiden win and it could easily come here. Just looked in need of the run fresh over 1050m at Balaklava before going to 1200m here where he ran a much improved race, getting back in the run and finding the line with real purpose late when second to Valentina Charm. Up to 1400m, hard fit, he appeals as a key winning chance.

Long Shot

10 Valieva (Bet Now: $15.00) is a slight query at 1400m but she’s hard fit, racing well and can settle handy. She ran over 1300m at Bordertown last time when on speed and she tried her guts out but couldn’t quite finish the job when second to Shut That D’Or. Not sure she wins, but I think she can run top four.

Race 3. (12:37) Daish Irrigation & Fodder (Bm80) 2500m

Back Me

3 Lake’s Folly (Bet Now: $3.70) for me but no real interest from a betting perspective. He ran over 1950m last Saturday on the Parks track where he got back to near last in a barrier trial basically, with stablemate Exalted Fire getting complete control in front and was too good. He’s racing as if 2500m will suit and with the claim, happy to be in his corner.

Danger

4 Look Sharpish (Bet Now: $9.50) has run well at 2500m previously and this isn’t a deep contest so she commands respect. She ran over 2000m at Cranbourne last time when back in a barrier trial pretty much, with Berkshire Breeze dominating from the front and giving nothing else a look in, but that horse does look handy and would be $1.50 against these, so that form should read well and 2500m is ideal IMO.

Long Shot

7 Santelmo Fuego (Bet Now: $16.00) is a tough nut for Grant Young that will just keep chipping away. He’s on the back up after racing over the mile at Strathalbyn on Sunday. He got back off the speed and was one paced when asked for the effort but did pick up and was pretty good late behind Flyway. Up in trip, I think, is okay. One for exotics.

Race 4. (13:12) Drendels Concreting (Bm68) 1200m

Back Me

2 Santastico (Bet Now: $9.00) looks ready to win for Matty Seyers. He ran over 1200m two weeks ago at Morphettville in a strong race. He was near the speed and presented to win, driving hard late but had to settle for a close up third to the in form Pure Paradise. Back to this level and off that last run, he appeals big time.

Danger

7 Dodd (Bet Now: $8.00) should appreciate getting back up to 1200m. He was 1250m back to 1050m two weeks ago at Morphettville where he got back to near last in the run and did make up headway but was never really threatening but that said, his finale was very good behind Vintage Star. Up to 1200m again, more positive ride, he’s dangerous for sure.

Long Shot

11 Lapilli (Bet Now: $23.00) is a daughter of Territories that resumes for Team Jolly. She is first up, having not raced since March 2 when a narrow second over 1400m at Morphettville Parks behind Angelic Appeal in a good effort. Likely is better suited over slightly further but stable is on fire and overall, the depth isn’t overly deep.

Race 5. (13:47) Mosel Surveyors (Bm68) 1000m

Back Me

4 Sunzou (Bet Now: $3.50) has done little wrong this time in for Travis Doudle and has to be rated as one of the hardest to beat. He attempted to lead throughout three weeks ago at Morphettville and gave a very strong kick but just couldn’t quite see it through, run down late by Classy Kenny. His racing style looks suited to Murray Bridge and at 1000m, he’ll take running down.

Danger

11 Foxy Femme (Bet Now: $6.00) is three weeks between runs for Team Blanch since racing over 1050m at Morphettville where she got back off the speed and was held up at times but got clear and found the line strongly when third to surprise winner Geminga. Good record at Murray Bridge, and I can see her sitting back and launching at them late.

Long Shot

3 The Magistrate (Bet Now: $13.00) has to be given another chance. He was a total forgive IMO behind Classy Kenny a few weeks back given he was dragged to find cover, but ended up four wide the trip, and tired to finish down the track. I think with a better run in transit, he is dangerous and can certainly take this out.

Race 6. (14:22) Plc Fencing (Bm64) 1400m

Back Me

I’ll take a chance with 6 Wine Barron (Bet Now: $4.80). He resumes for Michael Hickmott, having not raced since October 7 at this track/distance when back in the run and failed to make up any real headway behind Whiskey N Women. Given a good break and his trial a couple of weeks ago at Gawler was a good piece of work. Home track advantage, I’ll lean towards him.

Danger

5 Merchant Boss (Bet Now: $3.70) is on the seven day back up for Travis Doudle after racing last Saturday on the Parks track where he landed on speed and tried hard but the eventual winner, Hot Off, got complete control in front and was just too good. Bigger track and the rise to 1400m suits…leading contender.

Long Shot

2 Smiling Assassin (Bet Now: $101.00) is better suited over further but he does bring class and he saves his best for Murray Bridge. His last run was on Sep 24 over 3150m at Mount Gambier when placing behind Ferago, just missing out on the win. He’ll be back near last but he’ll be stronger than most at the end.

Race 7. (14:57) Hallett Concrete Constructions (Bm64) 1400m

Back Me

3 Maracourt (Bet Now: $1.95) looks the winner. He was a stiff watch last Saturday on the Parks track. He got back off the speed and took a while to wind into his work but picked up and was surging as the likely winner but then got badly held up the last 150m and went to the line under a hold. If he gets clear air this time around, he’ll take a power of beating.

Danger

7 Belmont Avenue (Bet Now: $9.50) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness for Bain/Taylor. Real eye catcher from the back when resuming at Balaklava behind Annihilate before going to 1500m at Gawler where he kept finding and tried hard but just missed out on the win when second to Not A Brass Razoo. Hard fit now, back to 1400m, versatile with his racing pattern, hard to beat.

Long Shot

12 Garrire (Bet Now: $34.00) tends to save his best for Murray Bridge and I do think back to 1400m is a tick as well so he has a bit in his corner to run an improved race. He ran over 1500m at Gawler last time where he got into a decent spot off the speed but when Pannell asked for the effort, he was one paced and just whacked to the line. Back to the 1400m on his favourite track, not penning him.

Race 8. (15:37) Mulch N More (Bm68) 1800m

Back Me

8 Holmes (Bet Now: $7.50) is an absolute model of consistency and is knocking on the door. He gets his chance here IMO. Andrew Clarken trained gelding that ran over this trip at Murray Bridge two weeks ago where he got a 12/10 by Shinn and surged late but had to settle for a second to King’s Capital. Yet to miss a place in five runs at Murray Bridge and he has found a very winnable race.

Danger

7 Fox Gem (Bet Now: $4.50) tends to save his best for Murray Bridge and hard to knock the way he’s racing at the moment. He spanked them over the mile here two back before going to this track/distance. He got back to near last in the run and made up good ground late when second to A Touch Frosty. Likely spots them a start but should be strong at the end.

Long Shot

11 Superior Sam (Bet Now: $27.00) will love the rise in trip for Clarken/O’Shea. This mare ran over 1200m three weeks ago at Morphettville where she was just run off her legs and ran accordingly behind Delightful Shecky, failing to beat a runner home. The rise in distance is a big tick for her and with her best, she is more than good enough.

Race 9. (16:17) B & L Cox Electrical (Bm82) 1200m

Back Me

10 Delightful Shecky (Bet Now: $3.00) has been absolutely dynamic this time in for Dylan Caboche and it’s hard to get away from him. He has won 3/3 this time in, the latest being three weeks ago at Morphettville where he was given a 12/10 by Pannell and he was dominant late, beating Losesomewinmore, who won impressively down the straight last Saturday. Hard to get away from him.

Danger

6 Karacasu (Bet Now: $9.50) is a track/distance winner and drops miles in grade/depth after racing in The Goodwood where he was outclassed on paper and ran accordingly behind Benedetta. Much better suited at this level and is hard to beat if there is petrol left in the tank.

Long Shot

12 Bubble Over (Bet Now: $34.00) tends to save her best for this track/distance so with that in mind, she has to be rated as a winning chance. She ran three weeks back at Morphettville behind Delightful Shecky. She got back to near last in the run and did make up ground but was never a threat behind the very much in form Caboche galloper. Back to where she races best, I am not penning her.

Race 10. (16:52) Prime Irrigation (Bm62) 1200m

Back Me

8 Sachem (Bet Now: $2.25) is a horse with talent for Clarken/O’Shea and if within range on the turn, I think his finale will be too much. He got too far back two weeks ago at Morphettville but really caught the eye with his finale behind Pure Paradise. He can settle closer, or at worst get a drag into the race. He’ll take a power of beating.

Danger

19 King Moya (Bet Now: $12.00) has found winning form and he can certainly go on with it for Jon O’Connor. That win came at the midweeks at Murray Bridge where he gave them a start and a beating, launching late to win narrowly but the win was impressive. He then went to Murray Bridge again last Wednesday and was good in defeat when third to Commander Meroo in a blanket finish. Commands respect.

Long Shot

1 Three Rings (Bet Now: $6.50) is one I can entertain for exotics. Cody Reardon trained gelding that ran in the Pure Paradise race from two weeks back. He was back off the speed and chasing but he did run through the pain barrier and wasn’t too bad in defeat behind the Victorian raider. Not sure he wins this but I think he can run top four.

BEST BET: Race Ten Number 8 Sachem

NEXT BEST: Race Nine Number 10 Delightful Shecky

LONG SHOT: Race Four Number 2 Santastico
