#2 – Hell March
Hell March is getting close to posting a win after consecutive second placings.
The Edmonds-trained colt ran second at Sunshine Coast and Doomben, and we expect money to come for him on race day.
He’s in good hands and his maiden win is coming.
Race 3. (12:43) Cascade Handicap (1200m)
#3 – Hamilton Brown
The two-year-old son of Exceedance owns a win and two placings from four starts, and he’s good enough to win this race.
He won on debut at Gold Coast on synthetic, and his only non-synthetic track start was a ninth at Eagle Farm.
However, we’re sticking with him at the odds.
Race 4. (13:18) XXXX Maiden (1200m)
#5 – Steel King
Steel King turned his form around when running third at Doomben last time out.
It was only a field of five but the three-year-old son of Deep Field was only 1.3 lengths behind the winner.
We’re happy to include him in selections.
Race 5. (13:53) The Gibson BM68 (2040m)
#9 – Yet He Moves
Yet He Moves comes from Sydney with moderate form, but he showed good ability on his day.
The Chris Waller-trained gelding owns two wins and six placings from 16 starts, and he should find the opposition in Queensland easier.
Barrier 15 hurts, but he only needs a touch of luck to win.
Race 6. (14:28) Mullins Lawyers Handicap (1200m)
#3 – Bohemian Lad
Bohemian Lad hasn’t done much wrong in four career starts, including two wins and two second placings.
The David Vandyke-trained gelding won well at Sunshine Coast two back, which is a tidy form guide.
Getting barrier four with Ryan Maloney in the saddle helps his chances.
Race 7. (15:03) Sky Racing C5 (1200m)
#1 – Space Tracker
Space Tracker turned his form around nicely last time out at Doomben, and that’s the best form guide.
The five-year-old gelding by Havana Gold showed good form when arriving in Australia, and it was good to see him return to form.
Carrying 60kg is tough, but he’s the one to beat.
Race 8. (15:38) Mekka Raceday BM72 (1350m)
#8 – Motell
Motell is an experienced type with seven wins on his record, including a win at Doomben.
The seven-year-old son of Uncle Mo ran well for fourth fresh up, and he can improve with a run under his belt.
Punters should get value odds on race day.
Race 9. (16:13) Ladbrokes Same Race Multi C1 (1350m)
#6 – Inca Trail
Inca Trail needs some luck from the wide draw, but we’re keeping the faith with the Jack Bruce-trained runner.
The three-year-old son of Menari is bred to show early speed, and he’s likely to settle back and flash home late.
He’s another runner that should be paying value odds.
