Kembla Grange racing tips

Race 1. (12:35) Thanks Ron Sinclair Midway C1 (1500m)

#1 – Aix En Provence @ $2.25

Aix En Provence capped off consistent form with a win at Kembla Grange last time out, and he could kick on with it.

The three-year-old son of Shalaa has yet to finish worse than third at the track, so he loves running on this surface.

We expect him to be too good for this field.

Race 3. (13:50) Canadian Club Maiden (1000m)

#1 – Don’t Doubt Merlin @ $2.50

Don’t Doubt Marlin is on debut for David Pfieffer after pleasing trial form.

The three-year-old gelding by Press Statement won a trial at Canterbury before placing at Rosehill, so that’s excellent form.

Punters get reasonable odds for the favourite.

Race 5. (15:05) Peroni Maiden (1600m)

#1 – Lenape Vibe @ $2.90

Lenape Vibe ran sixth on debut at Randwick behind Wild Gypsy, which is a good form guide for racing at Kembla Grange.

The three-year-old filly by Maurice is in good hands with Chris Waller, and his class could prevail at the midweek level.

His odds are likely to shorten on race day, so take the odds.

Race 6. (15:40) Become an ITC Member Maiden (1300m)

#1 – Rubilace @ $3.10

Rubilace is getting close to a win after consecutive placings to start her career.

The three-year-old filly by Rubick was a short margin behind the winner last time out, and she won’t take long to win.

Getting 2kg off her back adds to her appeal.

Bendigo racing tips

Race 1. (13:00) Smart Loans Bendigo Maiden (1400m)

#5 – Illuminance @ $4.40

Illuminance is already a four-time placegetter this preparation, and it’s only a matter of time before she wins.

The filly by Headwater ran second at Cranbourne last time out behind Shyleah, and that was a tidy enough effort.

Punters get value odds, and they’re better than expected.

Race 3. (14:00) Bet365 Top Tote Plus Maiden (1300m)

#12 – Henlein @ $3.30

Henlein is on debut for the Freedman stable, and he has been heavily backed to win.

The two-year-old colt by Dundeel ran third in a jumpout at Mornington, and he wasn’t asked for much in the straight.

Getting the inside draw with Craig Williams riding helps.

Race 5. (15:00) Avis Bendigo BM58 (1000m)

#2 – Major Share @ $5.50

Major Share is a three-year-old who won on debut at Terang before spelling.

The three-year-old gelding by Overshare hasn’t been seen for seven months, but he comes off a trial win at Stawell.

We thought he would be the favourite, so we’re happy with the each-way odds.

Race 6. (15:30) Bendigo Mazda BM58 (1300m)

#1 – Galaxy Field @ $3.10

Galaxy Field is a three-year-old filly who won well at Kyneton last time out.

The daughter of Deep Field scored by just under a length, and getting 2kg off her back adds to her appeal.

It’s a competitive field, but she could be the best of them.
