What to Look for in a Golf Bag?
Club Count: The number of clubs you plan on taking is an obvious factor when considering the type of bag you should purchase. “I’ve got anywhere from 15 to 20 clubs in my bag,” says Verplank. “Most people are going to have 14 to 16.”
Shell type: Depending on the traveler, some might opt for a completely hard case while others prefer a soft side. Verplank prefers a hard base when traveling as a hard trunk can sometimes prove difficult to handle.
Wheel-ability: For obvious reasons, explore bags with wheels. This allows for smooth transportation and less strain.
And last but not least, Verplank says, “I would recommend packing your bag tightly wrapped up in as much protective cover as you can.”
