It’s been the Latrell Mitchell show as the South Sydney Rabbitohs lead the Parramatta Eels 26-10 with 10 minutes of the second half to go.
The highlight of Mitchell’s night came in the 56th minute when the fullback powered over for his side’s fourth try of the night.
His four-pointer was the cherry on top of a well-rounded performance from the Blues Origin star, who prevented at least three tries with brilliant defensive play.

Mitchell had a hand in his side’s opening try of the night, catching some lazy Eels scrum defence off guard to set Jacob Gagai up in the eighth minute.
“He won’t get an easier one than that,” Fox League’s Mick Ennis said.
Throughout the opening stages of the contest, both sides were guilty of silly, costly errors during the opening 40.
After 13 minutes, both sides had made five errors and by half-time that figure jumped to nine.
With neither side able to gain the upperhand the contest ebbed and flowed through the middle of the first half.
Eels prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard made a crucial try-saver on Cody Walker midway through the first half before Mitchell twice denied Dylan Brown as half-time neared.
Jack Wighton scored in the 32nd minute and Souths threatened to run away with it before the Eels finally broke a resilient South Sydney defensive line through young gun Blaize Talagi, who has now scored in seven consecutive games.
The contest appeared destined to head into the sheds with Souths leading 10-4 only for a brilliant Michael Chee Kam offload to set Walker up for a try with the last play of the first half.
Campbell-Gillard powered over from close range in the 50th minute to get the Eels within touching distance of the lead, only for Mitchell’s try six minutes later to deflate any Parramatta momentum.
With 12 minutes to go Mitchell once again combined with Gagai for the winger’s second try of the night.
