2 Shows A Sign (Bet Now: $2.80) lands on speed and takes running down I dare say. Pat Webster trained juvenile that resumed over 800m at Ipswich, producing sustained speed from the outset and gave nothing else a look in, winning quite impressively in a sharp return. If he can stretch his brilliance to 1000m, they are cooking with gas. Leading contender.

1 Defiant Boom (Bet Now: $6.50) is a Stuart Kendrick trained colt that resumes and has runs on the board to command respect. He was heading down a Magic Millions path but couldn’t quite measure up in lead ups. He then placed in the Jewel Prelude and was spelled soon after a down the track effort in the 2YO Jewel. Moved well in a recent trial win here, he’s hard to beat.

5 Head Case (Bet Now: $23.00) is a Tony Newing trained juvenile that resumes and I dare say has eyes on the 2YO race during the Grafton Carnival given this stable loves to target that Carnival. He resumes, having not raced since March 27 when tailed off last on the Kenso, perhaps an end of prep run. Trial to get ready has been strong and this isn’t a deep race.

6 My Snow Queen (Bet Now: $7.50) is a ripping mare for David Vandyke and does have home track advantage so she commands respect as one of the leading contenders. She ran over 1200m at Eagle Farm last Saturday when on speed throughout and tried her guts out but found one better in Hidden Wealth. If she handles the back, she’s hard to beat.

4 Black On Beauty (Bet Now: $3.80) has been strong in two runs back and commands respect. Dominant first up win at Ipswich before going there again in the Gai Waterhouse when near a fast speed and was honest, but just couldn’t quite finish the race off behind stablemate Wollombi. Hard fit, will press forward, leading chance.

11 Zingalong (Bet Now: $21.00) saves his best for the Sunny Coast so I am not dismissing him here. He resumed over 1000m here when near the speed on the fence and tried hard but first up, condition just gave way late in the piece behind short course track specialist Bring Me Kash. Fitter and up in trip, he can run a race at odds.

3 Punch Lane (Bet Now: $2.25) is a nice horse for Team Freedman and third up at 1400m, wet ground, he rates highly. He has had two runs back from a spell, both at Doomben. Resumed with a close up second to Midnight In Tokyo over 1200m before going to 1350m where he got back to near last in the run and just spotted those in front too much head start when a narrow second to Magic Conqueror. If he can get a half positive steer, he takes beating I say.

5 Majestic Boom (Bet Now: $5.00) is the map horse and is very genuine. Safely held by Rockribbed at Ipswich a fortnight back, his first run off a freshen up, and found the line in a really good effort behind the Gollan runner. Natural improvement, lobs in a plum spot and should be fine on wet ground.

16 Thunder Mania (Bet Now: $18.00) has home track advantage and is racing well for the Symons/Laxon camp. She ran over 1200m at Doomben last time out where she got back to near last in the run and while she was never threatening, she found the line and was good in defeat behind Amore Veloce. Track/distance winner, in with a shout.

2 Immoral (Bet Now:
$SP.00) is suited at 1000m and does race well with fresh legs. Tony Gollan trained gelding that hasn’t raced since May 25 at Doomben when back near last in the run, was wide, and made up some ground but was never really a factor behind My Snow Queen. Good set up into this I feel and the depth, as a whole, isn’t overly deep. Hard to beat.

He hasn’t raced since June 8 over 1200m at Eagle Farm when near the speed and presented to threaten but couldn’t quite finish the race off behind Hidden Wealth. Back to where he races best, keen to see how he goes.

15 Jayanthi (Bet Now: $8.50) is a daughter of Hinchinbrook for O’Dea/Hoysted that resumes. This girl is first up, with her last run coming on March 2 at Eagle Farm when back off the speed and did make up minor headway behind stablemate Kanazawa. Resumes without a trial and not a noted fresh horse but she does have a touch of quality.

2 Golden Boom (Bet Now: $3.00) is a short course specialist so he appeals here for sure. He hasn’t raced since June 8 at Eagle Farm over 1000m when off the speed and kept chasing but couldn’t quite reel in Steady Ready, another 1000m specialist. Good track/distance record, hard to beat if he handles the bog.

1 Brudenell (Bet Now: $4.00) is a Stakes winning sprinter for Kris Lees that resumes. He is first up after a solid Summer/Autumn, highlighted by a Stakes win at Caulfield before being luckless in The Country Discovery at Yarra Valley on Good Friday. Trial work has been great, he flies fresh and is suited at 1000m.

9 Bring Me Kash (Bet Now: $13.00) saves his best for the track/distance and with that, he does command respect for me. This four year old was a strong track/distance winner last time when leading throughout and despite getting the staggers late, he had enough in hand to score. Good racing style, hard fit and racing well, leading chance.

5 Know Thyself (Bet Now: $2.25) is a very promising animal and confident he can measure up here. He didn’t beat much in the Highway at Rosehill last time but the arrogance of the win and how strong he was to/through the line was quite impressive. Stable has a big opinion of him and he is a horse with good upside/improvement to come. Quite keen.

2 Xidaki (Bet Now: $4.20) is a nice horse for Team Snowden and should be around the mark. He hasn’t raced since June 8 at Randwick when off the speed and kept finding the line in a really good effort behind War Eternal. Has been kept on ice, with this race in mind, and a tick over trial win at Randwick was very good. Hard to beat.

6 Winsome Star (Bet Now: $16.00) is trained on the track so she looks set for the race. He was 1200m to 1600m when racing in the Gunsynd three weeks back. She got too far out of her ground but was eye catching late with her finale behind Bases Loaded. She likes wet ground and can settle much closer in the run.

Happy to on at odds with 10 Lavish Empire (Bet Now: $7.50). This is a tough ask first up given his rating and overall form, but he looks to be humming for Team Snowden. He swims and gee his trial win at Randwick was one of the more impressive efforts of the morning. First up at 1400m is clear intent for mine, and with the set up, he can be backed with confidence each way.

1 The Inevitable (Bet Now: $6.00) rates as one of the hardest to beat. Tassie star that ran in the Stradbroke three week ago where he was a bit unlucky not to place. He just got held up for a few strides and I reckon that took away crucial momentum in defeat when fourth to Stefi Magnetica. Hard fit, swims, tough, class…rates highly.

7 Sinawann (Bet Now: $46.00) is a knockout hope. First run for Team Sears came in the Eye Liner at Ipswich two weeks back where he got back to near last in the run and despite doing a bit wrong, he made up a stack of ground and was very good in defeat behind At Witz End. Natural improvement, he won’t mind give in the track, he’s a definite threat.

Was hoping he’d be missed and they’d put up $101+, but the bookies did see the sneaky good run from 9 Port Philip (Bet Now: $21.00) in the Ipswich Cup. Lost his spot on the turn and lost momentum but picked up and was good to/through the line. He swims, he’ll love the bigger track and he might just be enjoying new surroundings, away from Victoria. Happy to speck each way.

He ran last Saturday at Eagle Farm in the Tatts Cup where he should have been right in the finish but just got badly held up and lost momentum at a crucial stage so be forgiving of the run. Home track, I feel he’s been set for it, leading chance.

8 Dune Forty Five (Bet Now: $11.00) is racing like 2400m will be fine. He ran in the Ipswich Cup two weeks back where he got back on the fence and did find the fast lane. Problem was getting clear air and it just didn’t eventuate in an ugly watch behind Red Wave. Bigger track, 2400m, clear air, he can win for sure.

Thought she did more than enough fresh at Doomben behind Tiger Shark before going to the QLD Day at Eagle Farm where she got back in the run and while she was never threatening, she made up ground and was good in defeat. Rates highly for mine.

She resumed a few weeks ago over this track/distance where she gave them a start and a beating, launching late from the back to round them up and win in an impressive return. Good improvement to come, has change up speed, dangerous for sure.

4 Femme Fatale (Bet Now: $13.00) is a short course specialist for Kelly Schweida that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since Feb 24 at Doomben over 1110m when wide no cover on speed and that early burn just told late in the piece behind Defiant Spirit. Unbeaten fresh and seemed to move well in a recent trial at Doomben.
