2024 UNDER-12 JOHN DAVIDSON SOUTHERN JAMBOREE PLAYERS ANNOUNCED – Basketball NSW

Basketball NSW is pleased to announce the selection of 200 athletes for the prestigious Southern John Davidson Country Under-12 Jamboree, set to be held in Griffith from October 11th to 13th.

The selection process commenced with U12 Skills Days, conducted in April and May, which attracted 370 young athletes from the South/West regions. These sessions were designed to enhance the participant’s skills in a high-performance setting and provided critical talent identification opportunities.

The John Davidson Under-12 Jamboree offers a comprehensive basketball experience, extending beyond traditional competition to include social activities, coaching clinics, and games. The event aims to develop young athletes both on and off the court, fostering a love for the game and building lasting friendships. The specially designed rules ensure full participation and benefit for all players in a safe learning environment.

The selected athletes will be grouped into 10 girls’ and 10 boys’ teams, allowing them to hone their skills alongside new coaches and teammates from across the South/West region of NSW.

Further information will be provided to the selected players in the coming weeks. Basketball NSW extends its congratulations to the athletes and wishes them success at the Jamboree.

Selections for coaches and referees for the event will be announced in mid-July.
