Three men on the run after Bunnings car park stabbing

Must read

Queensland Police are on the hunt for three men who fled a Bunnings car park after stabbing a man in the stomach and arm early on Friday night.

Queensland Opposition Leader David Crisafulli has pledged there will be fewer victims of crime under his leadership.

Premier Steven Miles has suggested the Opposition could change the way victims of crime are recorded by omitting victims of domestic violence in order to make the numbers look better.

Ms Crisafulli made this pledge after it was revealed Queensland was the crime capital of Australia according to the ABS.

Queensland Police were called to Bunnings Warehouse in Bundamba, south-west of Brisbane, on Friday about 5:10pm after reports a man had been wounded.

Officers arrived at the car park to find a 36-year-old Goodna man had suffered injuries to his stomach and arm, which investigators believe happened during the altercation.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The three men fled the scene in a Toyota Kluger with Queensland plates 694 XJA.

Police said the car had been stolen from a West End home last Thursday.

Photos from the scene showed a crime scene investigator collecting evidence.

Detectives believe the men knew each other.
