A man who was killed when his car was hit by a vehicle which was allegedly stolen and driven by a teenager has been remembered as a “much loved son, brother, partner and friend”.
Three people have been killed and four left with life-threatening injuries in a crash on Queensland’s Bruce Highway.
The accident occurred at Gumlu, north of Bowen, in the Whitsunday region.
The incident involved a passenger bus and a car towing a caravan.
The bus carrying 30 passengers had reportedly come to a stop on train tracks.
Paramedics are currently treating dozens of people with injuries.
Ashburton man William Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene following the horrific collision in Melbourne’s east on Tuesday night.
In a statement released through Victoria Police on Friday afternoon, Mr Taylor’s family remembered him as an intelligent, sport-loving man.

“Will was a much loved son, brother, partner and friend,” his family said.
“He was a quiet, intelligent and thoughtful young man who loved his sport.
“We are heartbroken and ask our privacy is respected as we come to terms with this devastating loss.”
The fatal incident unfolded at the intersection of Warrigal and Highbury roads in Burwood about 7pm on Tuesday.
Mr Taylor’s Toyota Corolla was hit by an allegedly stolen Jeep Cherokee, which had multiple teenagers inside.
Two 15-years-old girls were charged with theft of a motor vehicle after being arrested at the scene.
They will appear before a children’s court at a later date after being granted bail.
Police said a number of males fled the scene of the fatal crash.
The day after the crash, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy in Malvern East about 8.30pm.

He was charged with culpable driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death, fail to stop and render assistance, theft of motor vehicle and unlicensed driving.
The Herald Sun reported on Friday afternoon the teen boy was granted bail by a children’s court magistrate, with conditions including a 7pm to 6am curfew.
Mr Taylor’s family had reportedly opposed bail.
