Nexus Airlines is celebrating its first birthday by offering customers 1000 $1 return airfares for all one-way flights.
The fledgling airline launched in July last year and celebrated its milestone in becoming the first regional airline to hit the market in two decades.
This Wednesday, they will mark one year of operation by selling 1000 return airfares for $1 when customers purchase a one-way flight.
Michael McConachy, managing director of Nexus Airlines, said: “We are very proud of the additional economic benefits that the airline has created for our home bases of Broome and Geraldton, with over 80 people directly employed in these towns.
“Our aim was always to improve air services and access within regional Western Australia to increase livability, and I thank all those who have supported Nexus Airlines over the past 12 months.”
The 1000 tickets, available for only 12 hours from 9am on Wednesday, will be redeemable with a special sale code, which will be sent to Nexus Airlines email subscribers before being released to the public at noon on the same day.
After calls for more competition in the local air market, the new player took to the skies in mid-2023, with the inaugural flight made from Geraldton.
The airline offers direct routes to Perth and the North West, including Broome, Kununurra, and Darwin. Since its launch, the airline has flown more than 76,000 passengers.
