American rapper Lil Durk’s 10-year-old son allegedly shot his stepfather during a domestic dispute with his mother.
Stepfather Joshua Pippens posted the surveillance footage of the incident to his Instagram showing the young child allegedly taking the gun from him to then fire it.
Pippens can be seen in orange in an altercation with the boy’s mother and a child wearing red is shown aiming what could have been the gun at him.
A cut then shows the fight on the the sidewalk moving on to the middle of the road where the child points the weapon at Pippens and a gunshot can be heard.
Pippens falls to the ground and the video ends.
The stepfather captioned the shocking video: “As y’all can see I was not the aggressor and y’all also can see how I still had my gun on my hip he grabbed my gun off my hip following his mom’s lead and tried to shoot me and then actually shot me I advise y’all see it before they take it down #buildawareness”.
Pippen’s Instagram reel of the incident came with a barrage of stories and grid posts.
The stepfather shared a photo of the police report writing, “This is all the proof y’all should need right here I don’t gotta lie about nothing there goes the truth for y’all right may god bless y’all”.
Multiple stories were uploaded to prove Pippen’s innocence in the altercation.
“Whatever makes y’all feel better. That’s why I got custody of my kids and she don’t. Y’all so internet think (sic) god it was me that took the shot and not her,” he wrote.
“I never in a million years thought a kid I bought 4 wheelers and paid for football leagues and everything would do this but he only knows what mom shows him I still love him like he’s mine.”
Pippens finished off the snaps by writing, “Out of respect to the ppl who this is effecting the same or more then (sic) me I won’t be making another post about it shout out to the real.
The incident occurred on July 1 and Lil Durk has not commented on the situation.
