Meghan and Harry only interested in charity to ‘make money’

Must read

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are only interested in charity work to “make money” and loathe meeting the public according to the Duke of Sussex’s former biographer.

A royal expert has revealed Prince Harry is “bored” with life in America with Meghan Markle.

Author Tom Quinn has said the Duke of Sussex feels isolated after losing contact with his friends because they dislike the Duchess.

Quinn spoke to The Mirror about Harry’s situation and that his friends find Markle “difficult”.

“Harry is increasingly bored and looking back across the Atlantic where most of his army and school friends still live and whom he never sees because they won’t visit him in the States because they find Meghan difficult,” he said.

The author added the Duchess of Sussex feels she is attacked and that the couple are under serious strain.

Markle’s feelings come as the public continues to criticise the 42-year-old’s ventures and upcoming Netflix series.

“There is a growing rift between Harry and Meghan caused by Meghan’s increasing concern that her life is not going in the direction she had planned,” he said.

Harry is set to receive the prestigious Pat Tillman Award for Service – named in honour of a late NFL player and soldier – at the televised ESPYS on Thursday in recognition of his signature Invictus Games foundation for wounded veterans.

However, the nod has drawn the ire of Tillman’s own mother Mary, who said the award deserved to go to a more worthy recipient.

“I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award,” she told British newspaper the Daily Mail last week.

Royal biographer and frequent Sussex critic Angela Levin has joined the calls for broadcaster ESPN to rescind the honour and claimed the former working royals are primarily motivated by money, with Meghan in particular finding interaction with the public “awkward”.

“Unfortunately, Harry and Meghan do everything that will help them and get them money,” she told GB News on Tuesday.

“They’re fantastically interested in money and not people.”

The Sussexes have netted at least $100 million since “stepping back” from royal duties in 2020 through commercial deals with Netflix, Spotify and the Duke’s memoir Spare.

Harry and Meghan have also set up their Archewell charitable foundation, but tax filings released last year revealed the couple spend just a few working hours a week on their charity.

Ms Levin, who worked with the Duke of Sussex on a biography prior to his marriage to Markle in 2018, claimed the Prince’s priorities had changed since marrying Meghan and moving to the United States.

“Harry, when I went around with him and I was doing his biography, he was marvellous with ex-military people,” she said.

“(He was) wonderful but Meghan is very awkward, she’s not used to talking to people and I don’t think she wants to. So I think that’s very difficult.”

The author also compared the Sussexes unfavourably to Prince William and Princess Catherine.

“Their (Harry and Meghan’s) idea is to show off and be wonderful, William and Catherine’s are to help. It’s not for them, it’s to help,” she said.

The stunning remarks come days after a second commentator accused the Duchess of Sussex of pulling strings to secure the prestigious award for her husband.

On Saturday, British newspaper editor and royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths alleged Meghan may have contacted her A-list pal Serena Williams to seal the deal.

“Serena Williams is presenting the award and she’s a very good friend of Meghan Markle,” she said.

“I have to think, I have to wonder if Meghan’s got her fingerprints on this.”
