Starcevich was assisted from the field early in the second quarter after a head clash with an Adelaide opponent, before being subbed out of the match with concussion.

The reliable defender will miss Sunday’s clash with the West Coast Eagles.

In good news for the Lions, utility Noah Answerth is showing strong progress as he recovers from a dislocated shoulder and could be available for next week’s match with ladder-leader Sydney.
