Newsboy reckons his nap, Baileys Warrior, will be tough to beat in the Welsh Cottage Cakes Handicap (6.20) at Ffos Las, and he also fancies Dibble Dabble at Yarmouth in the 3.40

BAILEYS WARRIOR (6.20) can battle to victory in the Welsh Cottage Cakes Handicap at Ffos Las over a mile and six furlongs.

The six-year-old scored her maiden victory on her 25th start at Lingfield over an extended mile and seven furlongs in February, romping home by four and a half lengths.

The mare has been knocking on the door on numerous occasions – finishing runner-up four times this year.

Deborah Faulkner’s charge, who has rarely run a bad race on the all-weather, now returns to turf for the first time in three years, with the added bonus of Oisin Murphy in the saddle.

DIBBLE DABBLE (3.40) is worth a flutter in the Ron And Esther Leahy Memorial Handicap at Yarmouth over a mile and a quarter.

James Ferguson’s three-year-old has had a productive year so far, winning twice from six starts, notably at Leicester last month over the same trip, when pulling four and half lengths clear of Standbackandlook.

The son of Time Test then ran well at the same course 13 days ago when a length and three-quarters third of six behind Samoon Star, where he ran freely in the early stages, before having to check up when making his run a furlong out. He should go close.
