PORT ADELAIDE will be forced into at least one change to its side for Sunday’s trip to the Gold Coast to face the Suns.

A one-week suspension to in-form forward Mitch Georgiades has opened the door for another player to come into the line-up.

With Charlie Dixon now free to play after serving a three-game SANFL ban, the big forward could be included for his first AFL game since Round 12 in late May.

Forwards coach Chad Cornes on Monday confirmed the 33-year-old would come into calculations when selection was discussed later in the week.

Defenders Esava Ratugolea (hamstring), Ryan Burton (foot) and Josh Sinn (quad) could all come into contention as well if they prove they have overcome injury, while forward Willie Rioli is another who could return.

At SANFL level, there were no shortage of players putting their hands up for inclusion with ruck Dante Visentini the stand-out in the win over North Adelaide. In a second straight dominant performance, Visentini had 16 disposals and 30 hit-outs to go with nine clearances and five tackles.

Defender Tom Clurey was the leading disposal getter for the Magpies at Prospect Oval with 26 touches. He also had a game-high 15 marks and nine rebound 50s.

Dylan Williams was the perfect backline partner for Clurey and had 24 disposals and 15 marks of his own. Williams also booted a long goal from outside 50.

Jed McEntee (25 disposals, six marks, five tackles, five clearances) and Hugh Jackson (24 disposals, six clearances, one goal) were productive in the midfield, while young backmanTom McCallum showed his versatility with an impressive showing on the wing, finishing with 16 disposals, five tackles and two running goals.

Port Adelaide will on Thursday evening name an extended AFL squad for the game in Queensland before finalising its 23-man side on Friday at 4:30pm.
