Bendigo racing tips

Race 2. (12:30) Bet365 Protest Promise Maiden (1100m)

#10 – Sledding @ $4.20

Sledding didn’t fire when ninth on debut at Sandown, but the $1 million filly should be given another chance.

The daughter of Lonhro faced a tough field on that occasion, so dropping to maiden racing should be right up her alley.

She needs luck, but we’re happy to back her.

Race 4. (13:30) The Big Screen Company Maiden (1600m)

#12 – Newzou @ $2.05

Newzou is teasing punters with a win after consecutive second placings, including one at Sale last time out.

She should have won her last two starts after getting limited luck in running, so she should find this race to her liking.

Getting $2.05 is warranted for the best runner in the race.

Race 6. (14:30) Bendigo Mazda BM58 (1000m)

#11 – Enuffon @ $5.00

Enuffon is seeking consecutive wins after scoring at Warracknabeal last time out.

The four-year-old mare by Rich Enuff capped off tidy form with the victory, and she owns two placings from two starts at Bendigo.

Given the odds available, we’re happy to back her.

Race 9. (16:00) Apiam Animal Health BM64 (1300m)

#4 – Struck Gold @ $3.40

Struck Gold showed his best form when winning at Sale in heavy conditions, and he should be tough to beat again.

The four-year-old son of Castledale owns two wins and four placings from eight starts, so he doesn’t know how to run a bad race.

Barrier 13 is the only negative, but he has time to find cover.

Hawkesbury racing tips

Race 1. (12:20) Congratulations Eliza & Shannon Maiden (1300m)

#8 – Everybody Rise @ $2.80

Everybody Rise owns two placings from as many starts, and the colt looks set to break through on Thursday.

The son of Snitzel finished second at Randwick behind Braveheart, and a repeat of that effort takes him close at Hawkesbury.

He’s not the favourite, but we believe he should be.

Race 2. (12:55) Weddings @ HRC Maiden (1300m)

#4 – Jawharat Dubai @ $2.45

Punters are getting a touch frustrated by Jawharat Dubai, who owns six placings from her last six starts.

The three-year-old filly keeps finding one or two better, but we’re prepared to give her another chance at this level.

The maiden win will come, so include her in selections.

Race 4. (14:10) XXXX Gold Maiden (1000m)

#6 – Art’s Alive @ $5.50

Art’s Alive runs her best races fresh up and she could improve enough to beat this field.

The two-year-old filly by Snitzel comes off a fourth at Canberra before having trial runs at Rosehill, where she looked good.

Getting each-way odds is good enough for punters to take.

Race 7. (16:05) Lander Toyota BM64 (1100m)

#6 – Setombe @ $4.20

Setombe looked good winning fresh up at Hawkesbury before struggling at Warwick Farm last time out.

That came on a very heavy track, so the improved conditions at Hawkesbury should be right up her alley.

She is in good hands with James Cummings, so she’s worth backing.
