The obsession with Dior Oblique has grown significantly this season as Maria Grazia Chiuri presents a new interpretation of the motif in an unprecedented fabric: jacquard denim. Another remarkable characteristic of the creation is the denim’s vintage washed effect combined with a dark blue to white gradation. This new signature material has been implemented into some of Dior’s most recognisable bags, such as the Book Tote, the Saddle, the Toujours, the Mini Vanity and more.

At a glance, the Self-Portrait might appear like a top and skirt combined. But, actually, it’s a dress. Made of stretch fabric, this intriguing dress can fit a wide range of body contours. The initial collection consists of four sunglasses inspired by some of Anderson’s iconic designs. Case in point: the Twister, named after the Twister bag. The unisex design boasts a butterfly-style frame with twisted detailing across the bridge. In terms of functionality, Anderson equips the designs with Zeiss lenses.

For this particular season, the Italian house has blurred the lines between masculine and feminine styles, winter and summer, past and future. This approach is particularly evident where Prada paired a floral dress with suede gloves accentuated with a woven barrette and bag.

Louis Vuitton has introduced its new range of game-changers for summer through the LV By The Pool collection. This year, the collection translates a tropical summer into a multitude of new products, from ready-to-wear pieces to bags, shoes, textiles, and accessories. The Speedy bag, for one, is infused with the house’s free-spirited character and elevated through a Monogram-tile style in dazzling colour combinations.
Childhood Memories
After a successful debut last winter, Burberry presents the latest Rocking Horse bag, whose shape is inspired by childhood rocking horses. As a new favourite among the house’s creations, the bag once again showcases its fluid design. The bag also boasts a new lowercase “b” to represent the brand. Interestingly, the straps attached to the main body uses the uppercase “B” in stitching.

Italian footwear house Rodo showcases its mastery of weaving through its spring/summer 2024 collection. This seasonal collection highlights an infusion of denim into a range of exceptional and season-appropriate pieces. The Aira sandals, for one, perfectly represents this approach. Indonesia-based label TANGAN has recently introduced a capsule collection through its Re-TANGAN line consisting of four unisex denim pieces. Keeping On
LOEWE’s ongoing partnership with Swiss brand On has once again expanded. This time, in addition to producing a collaborative footwear collection, the two have also introduced ready-to-wear apparel. The clothes come in a range of colours, from bright to neutral, and are made with technical fabrics to resist inclement weather. Alongside the ready-to-wear pieces, the collaboration has also resulted in the Cloudtilt 2.0 sneakers featuring fresh improvements and colourways.
Walk with Africa
Christian Louboutin together with Idris and Sabrina Elba have completed work on their third charity project. Titled Walk a Mile in My Shoes (WAMIMS), the new collection draws inspiration from the codes and colours of African culture. Braiding, for instance, becomes the collection’s main element, appearing on shoes, bags, and accessories. The collection is also sublimated with a print incorporating the WAMIMS acronym into colourful patterns along with personal touches from the three collaborators.
Timeless Pair
In highlighting its craftsmanship and sumptuous finishes, TOD’S presents a new eyewear collection for summer 2024. The sunglasses steal the spotlight with their sleek lines and bold shapes, particularly this aviator-style pair. The temple is made of leather, while the frame is constructed using acetate and metal with the brand’s logo at the ends. As Every pair is completed with UVA/UVB protection, perfect for sun-drenched summer occasions.
