Police hunting man over alleged vile act with food at Sydney supermarket

A man allegedly entered a Sydney supermarket and urinated on several food products, causing more than $300 worth of damage.

An investigation is underway after the man allegedly entered a business on George St in Sydney’s CBD and urinated on food about 11.40pm on Monday.

“Police have been told the incident caused more than $300 in damage to produce, and extensive work was undertaken over several hours to decontaminate the area,” police said.

Police want to speak with a man, pictured, who they believe may be able to help with the investigation.

The man is described as of Caucasian appearance, about 20–30 years old, with a medium build.

He was wearing a backwards navy-blue cap, black jacket, black pants and dark blue shoes, and carrying a black satchel bag.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who might be able to identify the man, is asked to contact Sydney City Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
