Brad Fittler isn’t sure the Rabbitohs revival is all about Latrell Mitchell.
On the latest episode of Wide World Of Sports’ Freddy and The Eighth, the former NSW coach admitted the side’s defensive resolve has been the major reason behind their new-found success after a horror start to the year.
“I think I picked the Dolphins, but in thinking about defence, that has nothing to do with Latrell [being out],” Fittler said.
“It’s more to do with their attitude and I think I might change my tip to Souths.
“Koloamatangi is playing a big role, he is playing 80 minutes in the middle.”
Mitchell is sidelined with a foot injury for Thursday’s game, while skipper Cameron Murray is away on State of Origin duties.
