Must read

More than 100 teenagers have trashed a rental property in Melbourne’s north-east, causing $12,000 worth of damage.

The property, described as a ”serene retreat” in South Morang, was rented to a group of teenagers reportedly using a stolen credit card.

9News understands the teenagers organised a party at the weekend and charged a $20 entry fee.

Images obtained by 9News show windows smashed, holes in walls and doors destroyed.

In the days following, SMK Cleaning Group owners Codie Benson and Kylie Robinson were called to help clean the rental.

The cleaners told 9News they had never seen anything like it before.

“It made my stomach sick, there was the vomit, there was wee, there was poo, there was blood on the couch. I don’t know what happened that night,” Robinson said.

“We found like $12,000 of damage, we’ve got a skip full of rubbish we have had to throw out.”

Neighbour Marialuisa Lo Piccolo said she was afraid the party was going to spill into their yard.

“It’s frightening,” she said.

Victoria Police said they were called to the property and asked the teenagers to move, which they did without incident.

Police are continuing to investigate.
