One of the best views in Adelaide is up for sale at Glenelg, with a penthouse boasting 360-degree vistas of the sea, city and Hills listed for sale.
The two-bedroom home at 84/760 Anzac Highway has been listed with price hopes of $2.3m to $2.5m and sits atop Glenelg’s once acclaimed revolving restaurant, a popular spot for Adelaide diners and romantics in the ‘80s and ‘90s.
The penthouse is owned by prominent Adelaide hotelier Greg Fahey – head of the Fahey Hotel group – and wife Judy, who are bidding farewell to their home after 24 years.

Ms Fahey says the circular-shaped home has been overhauled from top to bottom to maximise the its expansive 360 degree views across the city, coastline and the Adelaide ranges.
“We completely renovated it. Nothing was left behind, except the stairway. So it was completely gutted, you might say, and we put in big glass windows and sliding doors to get the amazing 360 degree views across Adelaide, the beach – everywhere really,” Ms Fahey said.
“Now, as soon as you step out of the lift and straight into the penthouse, you feel all your worries just disappear. All you’re left with is this beautiful feeling of being at home.”
The luxurious apartment will impress the moment you step inside via a private residential lift, with a large, open-plan living, dining and kitchen zone making the home ideal for entertaining.
The chef’s kitchen, with Gaggenau appliances, is an incredibly entertaining drawcard, no less thanks to a showpiece teppanyaki bar. A large commercial wine fridge also features in the background.
Accommodation is very comfortable, with two opulent master suites, both with five-star bathrooms, spa baths and generous walk-in dressing rooms. The quality of the timeless fixtures and fittings are fully on display via a piped music system, a C-Bus home control system and mood lighting. The home also comes with two lock-up independent garages, plus a large independent storage room.
Mrs Fahey said the home had been an entertainer’s dream.
“New Year’s Eve here has always been amazing. We have a teppanyaki bar inside the home. Greg would cook the teppanyaki after I prepared things for him and then we’d all sit around there, opening up the big sliding glass doors … with all the fireworks right on your doorsteps,” she says. “It would have to be the best spot to watch fireworks. We’d watch the Glenelg fireworks and then run around to the other side to watch the ones in the city. I don’t think anything compares.
“The other thing about being up high is that, on a hot day, you can just open everything up and you’ll get fresh air from somewhere. You also don’t get mosquitoes or flies either, which is always a bonus.”
The property has been listed for sale with Booth Real Estate.
