From Princess Catherine to Margot Robbie, see the famous faces who flocked to Wimbledon

Must read

Wimbledon is known for being one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments in the world.

It’s also known for pulling in a star-studded crowd, from royalty to A-List actors, artists and athletes.

So take a tour of some of the famous faces who were spotted sitting courtside.

Let’s start with Princess Catherine

The Princess of Wales received a standing ovation when she arrived at the men’s final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.

It was Princess Catherine’s second public appearance since revealing her cancer diagnosis earlier this year.

She was arguably the most anticipated spectator, as the princess is a patron of the All England Club and typically presents the trophy to the winner.

But if you look closely at the top corner of the image, you’ll notice a familiar looking jawline belonging to none other than Tom Cruise.

The Mission Impossible actor was seated in the royal box alongside English director and playwright Sophie Hunter and actor Benedict Cumberbatch.

Keep tracking along this row and you’ll find actor Julia Roberts was also in attendance with her husband, cinematographer Daniel Moder.

Back in the front row now, and you’ll see Pippa Matthews (formally Middleton) sitting alongside her niece Princess Charlotte.

But it wasn’t just the royal box that was packed to the brim with famous faces.

If we look elsewhere, Challengers star Zendaya was spotted trying to keep calm during the tense showdown.

In another area, actor Andrew Garfield was snapped during a particularly jaw-dropping moment.

If you look closely, you’ll notice that’s Pierce Brosnan in the row in front sporting a pair of rose-coloured glasses.

Next to the former 007 star is Cailee Spaeny, who starred in Priscilla, and next to her is screen legend Glenn Close.

If we nudge the camera to the right, you’ll see Marvel mainstay and Loki actor Tom Hiddleston is also part of this courtside celebrity cluster.

That was just one match. Here’s who attended the rest of the tournament

Australian actor Hugh Jackman was spotted sitting next to actor Kate Beckinsale during the women’s final the day before between Barbora Krejčíková and Jasmine Paolini.
