On the occasion of India’s 2024 World Cup win, the BCCI gifted a prize money of 125 Crore Indian Rupees to the Indian contingent, and every stakeholder involved in the victory. 

Kapil Dev made an astonishing revelation as BCCI awarded the ransom money to all stakeholders.

What did Kapil Dev reveal about the transformation in Indian cricket since 1983?

Kapil Dev took to Facebook, about the changing times of Indian cricket. The maiden World Cup win in 1983 was a benchmark, and more important than any other. 

1983 World Cup-winning skipper on Monday revealed the match fees awarded to players during the tournament. A total of 2100 Indian Rupees was given to players as total match-fee allowance. This included a daily-allowance of 200 Rupees for three days, and 1500 for playing the game.
