An upgrade to a basketball court, a new outdoor sensory garden, and a pizza area are just some of the projects made possible thanks to funding from EDF Renewables Ireland. The Community Benefit Funding comes from EDF’s solar farms in Coolroe and Blusheens and will see schools, youth organisations and community groups across Wexford receive a combined total of almost €50,000 to support projects and develop new facilities.

Funding of €23,652 from the Blusheens Solar Farm in Killinick will be shared between two groups, the Killinick Project which is a community group focused on enhancing the appearance of the local area and the Yola Farm and Hedge School in Tagoat, where the funding will be used to refurbish a communal cooking area.
