Woven Fishnet Is Set to Be One of SS25’s Biggest Trends

Must read

Another fashion trend has begun creeping up on Spring/Summer 2025 runways, and we expect to see plenty more of it over the next few months. As many of us are still recovering from Men’s Fashion Month, we’re reminiscing about some of the major trends we spotted — one of which is a new woven fishnet.

Appearing at shows like Feng Chen Wang and Wales Bonner, the latest styling tip seems to be utilizing a specific style of woven fishnet for layering over shirts and ties and underneath blazers and jackets. At Feng Chen Wang, the netting featured a heavier bamboo-style beading, while Wales Bonner opted for an almost plastic-like material.

Read on for examples of the latest trend and stay tuned for more coming soon as we approach Copenhagen Fashion Week alongside the womenswear showcases in London and Milan.

Feng Chen Wang

Chinese designer Feng Chen Wang is always one of the most exciting and innovating, and her SS25 showcase was no exception. Presenting a series of artfully tailored, yet still contemporary, looks for both menswear and womenswear, the collection offered a slew of raw-edged blazers, mini skirts and shirts, paired with beaded ties, teapot earrings and micro bags. The collection offered a masterclass in layering, with a beaded fishnet material making multiple appearances, layered over shirts and ties or as an added texture underneath blazers.

Wales Bonner also presented its SS25 collection during PFW, offering up a resortwear-inspired, seemingly Miu Miu-coded selection of sporty styles and drawstring shirts. Similarly, the collection included a slew of wider-style fishnet layers, again layered over other materials or worn underneath blazers and shirts.
