East Bernard High School football stands collapse as storms impact area

EAST BERNARD, Texas – Storms impacted the Houston area for the second day in a row Wednesday.

While most of the storms were not as intense as the storms on Tuesday, there was still some damage reported in the area.

In the City of East Bernard, in Wharton County, football stands at the high school football field collapsed as the storms moved through the area.

The Wharton County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office said aside from the stands, most everything else related to the storm were just some downed limbs and a flooded roadway on the west side of the city.

No injuries were reported.
