PHILADELPHIA – The start of the University of Pennsylvania sprint football team’s season is just months away as William R. Wagner Head Coach Jerry McConnell announced the program’s schedule for the 2024 season on Friday afternoon.

“I am thrilled to announce our schedule for the 2024 season,” said McConnell. “This year, we have three exciting home games lined up against Mansfield, Molloy, and Chestnut Hill along with road battles against STAC, Cornell, Navy, and Caldwell, a team we haven’t played in a while.

“We’re very enthusiastic about this schedule and are committed to elevating Penn Sprint Football back to its former glory.”

The slate features three games at Franklin Field with a new opponent in Molloy, as well as two teams—Mansfield and Caldwell—returning to the schedule.

Penn opens the year Sept. 20 at St. Thomas Aquinas, returning to University City for its home opener at Franklin Field Sept. 27 against Mansfield.

The Quakers come out of the bye week with an Ivy matchup at Cornell Oct. 11, taking on Molloy a week later on Oct. 18 for its first-ever meeting. Then, Penn renews its series with Caldwell on the road Oct. 25.

The Red and Blue head to Annapolis, Md. on Nov. 1 to take on Navy before finishing up their regular season with a divisional battle against local rival Chestnut Hill Nov. 8.

Penn went 2-4 during the 2023 season, earning a 1-2 record in CSFL South division play. The Quakers picked up victories against Cornell (21-9) and St. Thomas Aquinas (19-15) during the year.
