A royal insider has revealed why King Charles and Prince William will never reconcile with Prince Harry amid rumours the Duke of Sussex is writing another tell-all book.
King Charles and Queen Camilla have visited the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London as part of the drama school’s 120th anniversary.
The King is a patron of the centre and was shown around and given a performance by third-year acting students.
He has attended a number of engagements since coming back to work.
Harry’s first memoir Spare broke sales records upon release in January 2023 and included bombshells allegations against Charles, William and Harry’s stepmother Queen Camilla.
The Duke of Sussex also took aim at his sister-in-law Princess Catherine and accused the Princess of Wales of reducing his wife Meghan Markle to tears.
Harry wrote in detail about Kate’s rift with Meghan, which was supposedly sparked over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.
Harry offered his side of the infamous back and forth between Kate and Meghan, which he claimed left his partner “sobbing on the floor” ahead of their 2018 wedding.
“Meg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father. Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days!” Harry wrote, before claiming the Princess of Wales made Meghan cry.
The rogue royal also revealed personal text messages exchanged between Meghan and Kate amid the disagreement over Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.
According to King Charles’s biographer Robert Hardman, Harry’s betrayals in Spare and fears of another book are preventing any meaningful reconciliation with the monarchy.
“The problem that exists is, at the moment, there is still a trust issue,” he told Tatler on Thursday.
“He gave away so many secrets,” Hardman explained, describing how the notoriously private royal family felt about Harry’s publication of their private rivalries.
The veteran royal author also accused the Duke of Sussex of “taking notes” for Spare while Queen Elizabeth II was on her death bed.
“At the time of the Queen’s death … he was taking notes,” he said.
Hardman suspects that Harry may be preparing to write another book about his life as a royal because of the noticeable lack of details about the Sussexes’ wedding ceremony in Spare.
“As an author, that says to me one thing and one thing only: part two might be on its way,” he said.
The update comes after British broadcaster Lorraine Kelly revealed that the monarchy had “closed ranks” because of Harry and Meghan’s betrayals in books, an Oprah Winfrey interview and the couple’s bombshell Netflix docu-series.

“It’s such a shame, but then there’s that thing of ‘If we do have a conversation with him, is it going to end up on Netflix,’” she said earlier this month.
“Is it going to end up in another book?
“The royals have closed ranks (because) the trust is gone.”
