The Australian’s Editor-at-Large Paul Kelly discusses the “weak” response from the Albanese government to the ICC issuing warrants to Israeli leaders.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese refused to comment on the International Criminal Court issuing warrants for Hamas leaders as well as the Israeli Prime Minister and Defence Minister.
“They’re weak and they’re paralysed,” Mr Kelly told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
“The government is spooked about how to manage the internal politics of this conflict within this country.
“We have the Prime Minister of Australia – can’t defend it and can’t criticise it.
“He just can’t talk about it – it’s as though he’s immobilised.”
