Football Australia today announces the retirement of Amy Duggan from its Board of Directors.
Amy Duggan, a former Matilda, dedicated advocate for football, and respected leader within the Australian football community, is stepping down from her board position after four and a half years of impactful service.
Since joining the Football Australia Board, Duggan has been instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation and Australian football. Her efforts have notably advanced the visibility and success of our national teams, especially the CommBank Matildas. Duggan’s commitment to ensuring football ‘owns the narrative’ has been pivotal in capturing the hearts and minds of the public, making the sport more compelling and authentic to fans nationwide.

As a former Matilda, I feel privileged to have served Australian football in this capacity and cherish the countless memories and achievements we have shared along the way. I wish the Board and the entire organisation all the best for the future.
“As I transition from my role, I eagerly anticipate supporting our teams and enjoying the beautiful game from the sidelines.”
