De Minaur setting himself up well here
By Marc McGowan
This is set up wonderfully for Alex de Minaur to reach his first Roland-Garros quarter-final.
He is on top in the rallies and capitalising on an underwhelming serving display from Daniil Medvedev.
To put that into perspective, Medvedev landed 68 per cent of his first serves in the first round, 87 per cent in the second round and 62 per cent in the third round.
Tonight, that number is 57.
De Minaur takes second set
Are you ready for a late one, tennis fans?
Alex de Minaur has levelled things by claiming the second set against Daniil Medvedev 6-2. He dropped the first 6-4.
The way things are going, we’re in for an exciting next few hours.
De Minaur looking good for second set
Demon is just one game away from levelling things on the set front. He’s up 5-2 in the second set and is looking in control.
One rally in that game went for 28 shots – the longest of the match so far – and each player headed to the towels straight after.
I’m getting tired just from watching these two. Medvdev is serving to stay in this set now.

Demon needs to level this one
By Marc McGowan
Much-deserved break for de Minaur, who has arguably been on top in this match since halfway through the first set.
It is just unfortunate he struggled so much on serve in those early games. Demon needs to put the foot down here and quickly level this match at a set apiece.
Delay doesn’t slow Demon down
De Minaur remained focused and claimed the first game since the medical timeout from Medvedev, who received treatment on his foot.
The Aussie now leads 4-2 in the second set.

Medvedev seeks medical help as de Minaur strives for a break
We’ve got a small delay on our hands as Medvedev is being treated with medical help.
It appears a bad blister under the ball of his foot that is getting heavily bandaged- and if you’re wondering if they’re showing close-ups of his bare foot, they are.
It comes as de Minaur leads 3-2 in the second set.
Some early stats
These two both like a rally
By Marc McGowan
It is worth noting that de Minaur has drawn level with Medvedev on rallies that lasted at least nine spots (14 points won each).
The Russian was well on top in that statistic early in the match.
Another drop-shot winner de Minaur
The Demon now leads in the second set 2-1 after another drop-shot winner handed him the third game.
There’s been some impressive shots from both opponents this match, but that was a nice one to keep his nose in front in this second set.
