Fireball Whisky Wants To Take Your Golf Game From Flat To On Fire

Must read

Instead of a 5-iron, Fireball wants you to hit above par with the new Fire Iron.

From a distance, the Fire Iron looks quite similar to an ordinary golf club, but if you look closely, you’ll see five 50 ml shooters attached to the club’s shaft. “Fireball has seamlessly woven its way into the fabric of golfing culture, earning the beloved title of “birdie shot” amongst amateurs and enthusiasts worldwide,” says Danny Suich, global grand director for Fireball.

The whisky, he says, “began as a spirited addition to mid or post-round celebrations has organically become a key part of the golfing experience for many.”

“From clubhouse to fairway, Fireball is synonymous with camaraderie, celebration, and fun,” Suich says. “That said, much of golf’s culture remains entrenched in stodgy traditions and strict rules, which doesn’t really fly for us at Fireball.”

Last year the brand made its inaugural entry onto the fairway with the Fireball Red Jacket, which was a playful nod to golf’s iconic green jacket. “This year we’re shaking things up again, and we’re upping the ante by introducing the Fire Iron,” he says. “It’s a club that looks like an ordinary 5 iron nestled into a golf bag, but just beneath the surface reveals the ultimate antidote to golf’s often snooze-inducing norms: five 50ml shooters discreetly held along the club’s shaft.”

The Fire Iron also features Fireball’s signature dragon on the club’s face, and it’s actually a real golf club. But, Suich says, it’s not designed to actually be used in the game of golf.

The Fireball Fire Iron goes on sale Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m. EST for $24.99 at FireballWhisky.com.

“Last year, our iconic Fireball Red Jackets weren’t available for purchase,” he says. “Instead, we offered fans the chance to win one, and the response was overwhelming.”

More than 7,000 people vied for the chance to win one of only 10 jackets. “It became clear that our fans share our passion for injecting fun and Fireball into every aspect of their lives, particularly on the golf course,” Suich says.

Supplies of the Fire Iron are limited though, and the brand expects to sell out, Suich says.

“Previous reactions to Fireball’s promotions have been overwhelmingly positive, with fans eagerly embracing each unique offering,” he adds. “Fireball’s fans have demonstrated their passion through lightning-fast sellouts of products ranging from derby hats to cinnamon caviar to lipstick.”

These unusual promotions sell out so quickly because Fireball’s fans are so passionate. “They are authentic and born from the places our fans lead us to,” Suich says. “This genuine connection ensures that Fireball remains a beloved companion in celebrations both big and small.”

The Fire Iron would make a perfect gift for Father’s Day. “Golf and Father’s Day go hand in hand,” he says. “The Fire Iron allows gift givers everywhere to break away from the typical gifts like golf balls, tees or shirts.”

Suich wouldn’t reveal what’s next for Fireball fans. “Fireball remains committed to infusing fun into otherwise boring moments,” Suich says. “Follow along to be one of the first to see where the party takes us next.”
