Wyong racing tips

Race 2. (12:45) Harvey Norman C1 (1600m)

#1 – Guzumped @ $1.95

Guzumped is getting close to posting another win after placing at Kembla Grange last time out.

The four-year-old gelding by Dundeel runs best over this distance with a win and a placing from three attempts.

The odds are short, but we’re happy to include him in our picks.

Race 4. (13:55) Arcade Trader Maiden (1100m)

#1 – Don’t Tell Jack @ $6.50

Don’t Tell Jack is on debut after some pleasing trial form, and punters get value odds.

The three-year-old son of Sebring Sun won a trial at Gosford by a short margin before placing going close last time out.

Getting the inside draw adds to his appeal.

Race 5. (14:35) Bendigo Bank Maiden (1200m)

#3 – Euromaster @ $2.60

Euromaster did well to finish second in consecutive races last preparation, including placings at Wyong and Newcastle.

The four-year-old son of Eurozone gets a valuable 4kg off his back, and that could be the winning difference.

We expect his odds to firm on race day.

Race 6. (15:10) Brown Forman Breweries BM64 (1200m)

#2 – Rockin’ Millie @ $2.90

Rockin’ Millie is already a two-time winner this preparation, including last time out at Newcastle.

The four-year-old daughter of Menari owns two wins and four placings from seven starts and getting 3kg off her back helps.

Her odds have drifted, but we’re not concerned.

Geelong racing tips

Race 2. (13:00) Batman Investment Maiden (1200m)

#9 – Hot Chilli Mama @ $6.00

Hot Chilli Mama showed good form in New Zealand, and it should stack up well enough in Australia.

The three-year-old filly by U S Navy Flag ran third at Hastings last time out behind Orchestral, who is a proven Group 1 winner.

She might be going under the radar given the current odds.

Race 3. (13:30) The Valley Inn Maiden (1400m)

#9 – Write Your Own @ $3.50

Write Your Own didn’t fire on debut when running seventh, but he was much better last time out when running second.

The three-year-old son of Wrote was only 1.3 lengths behind the winner, and he doesn’t need to improve much to beat this field.

Barrier 12 isn’t easy, but this field is there for the taking.

Race 5. (14:30) Prestige Jayco BM58 (1200m)

#7 – Perfect Gold @ $4.20

Perfect Gold won well on debut at Ararat by 1.5 lengths before resuming from a spell with a tough run.

The three-year-old filly wasn’t enjoying life before the run. She was agitated, and it took its toll throughout the run.

However, we’re backing her to bounce back at each-way odds, which could firm considerably on race day.

Race 6. (15:00) Otway Gumboots BM58 (1200m)

#2 – Struck Gold @ $3.50

Struck Gold has more talent than most in this field, and we’re picking him to get back to winning form.

The four-year-old gelding by Castledale owns a win and four placings from seven starts, including a placing at Geelong.

Drawing wide doesn’t help, but he could ping the gates and settle on the pace.
