Fremantle co-captain Caleb Serong has spilled the details surrounding his recent engagement to fiancee Chloe Furnari.
The couple revealed the news in a heartwarming Instagram story on Monday.
Furnari’s sister Kasey shared a photo of the two lovebirds, with Furnari rocking a diamond engagement ring, which the 23-year-old footballer reposted on his own account.
The newly engaged couple spoke to 92.9 Triple M’s Xav & Michelle on Thursday, with Serong revealing he had a chef come around to cook them lunch before the proposal.
“I’d organised through a few close friends for them to take Chloe out for brekkie,” Serong said.
“There were a fair few things organised behind the scenes; a chef coming around to cook us lunch, balloons, flowers and candles.
“Her family and my family had flown over the day before which she didn’t know about. Once Chloe got home from breakfast, it was all set up and when she opened the door, it was pretty obvious what was happening.”
The AFL star also revealed he kept the engagement ring hidden in his jocks drawer.
Furnani said she was a little bit suspicious prior to the engagement, but still completely in shock.
The pilates instructor explained that her mother, who knew about the engagement, kept telling her to change her green nails because “they look like vomit”.
The young couple also shared how they will likely get married on Furnani’s parents’ farm in Victoria.
