Primo Foods is recalling its 80-gram packets of mild salami with 25 per cent less salt due to the presence of an undeclared milk allergen.

The product has been available for sale at Coles in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania; at Woolworths in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania; and at independent retailers including IGA in NSW, Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

It has also been sold through Brave Logistics in South Australia.

“Any consumers who have a milk allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” Food Standards Australia New Zealand said in the recall notice.

Customers are urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
