CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women’s basketball head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee is excited to announce the addition of DeNesha Stallworth to the coaching staff as an assistant coach.

Stallworth was a decorated player at Kentucky from 2012-14 and came back to UK from 2020-23 as a video coordinator. She spent one season at UC Santa Barbara in ’23-24 as an assistant coach.
As a staff member with the Wildcats, she helped UK capture the SEC Tournament title in 2022 and mentored all positions on the court. UK had a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances in her time on the sidelines with Kentucky.
“I’m very thankful to have the opportunity to work for not only a great coach, but an unbelievable person in Coach Mac,” said Stallworth. “Boston College is an incredible institution and I’m honored to be a part of this amazing staff.”
She turned in a stellar career for UK, finishing her collegiate career with 1,740 points, 871 rebounds, and is ninth on the Wildcat’s double-doubles list with 15. She was named a WBC All-Region and SEC All-Tournament selection.
Stallworth was part of a senior class that finished with a 109-31 mark and was an All-SEC Second Team member. She led the team in field goal percentage (.524), field goals made (151) and steals (44) as a senior, while ranking second in scoring (12.5), rebounding (6.9) and blocked shots (35).
After being selected 25th overall in the 2014 WNBA Draft by the Connecticut Sun, Stallworth began her professional career overseas in Spain playing for Stadium Casablanca and Universitario de Ferrol. In the last five years, she has made stops in Australia playing for SEQ Basketball and Canberra Capitals and played for three teams in Poland for TS Wisla Krakow, Artego Bydgiozcz and CCC Polkowice. Stallworth also competed in Russia for Sparta&K MR.
Stallworth graduated from Kentucky in December of 2013 with a degree in family sciences and a minor in African-American studies. She was a two-time member of the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll and the Dean’s list. She was named a McDonald’s All-American in 2009 as one of the top recruits in the country.
